A year ago I was one of his biggest crititcs, I plainly didn't think he had the talent or potential to be good enough for the prem, but damn i've been proved wrong.

Gives 110% every game, never phased by the stature of players he's paired against, never afraid to try the out of the ordinary, always looking to take people on, comfortable with his own ability and never shy's from a tackle. I generally believe his touch and crossing has improved and I hope it continues.
He summs up for me why we are making huge leaps forward in progession.

Was the centre of a lot of all things good again today, and delighted he got a goal.

Couldn't care less if there is a similar thread like this, dodd away and make sure he's naked, always wondered what the odd bastard looked like with no clothes on.

We don't miss Convey.
Says it all.

He gets loads of stick from people on here, and will again in future but he will continue to improve as far as I can see.

He is a text book pro and the epitomy of the Reading side. Have to agree i had big doubts to start with but i love everything about him now. Love his cheekiness too

It was always going to be interesting to see how he reacted following the aftermath of the Petr Cech incident and whether or not he'd be the same player afterwards. I'm glad to say he's improved with every game making sure his football does the talking and ignoring any negative critism thrown his way. Sure, he'll always be remembered by fans for that game, but for Reading fans he'll be concidered highly amongst them for his attitude to every game, giving it everything he has in his locker. Player of the Season.

Always delighted to see Hunty making mugs of those who took the p*ss.

And, I'll be delighted if Yank no2 returns next season to give him a run for his money.

I don't want European football just yet but today has to be up there with the best results of the season and, Stephen Hunt epitomises the attitude thoughout the squad that has made this campaign even more unbelievable than the last.

Couldn't believe fans texting in today complaining about how "lucky" we were :?

There are plenty of Reading supporters who never lived to see the last 2 fantastic seasons and we should count ourselves extremley fortunate to be apart of this amazing period in the clubs history.

Hunt wasn't great for most of the game but after being booed in the second half by Bolton fans to score that header in the last minute was pure class.

Moments of Brilliance, more moments of utter ineptitude.

Colour me unconvinced, Convey will be able to win his place back.

Why the fcuk did he go in on the Bolton keeper today? More stupidity from Mr Hunt.

I admit he's done very well this year but I really don't think he's a great top flight footballer. Hasn't got the touch IMHO.

I would've scored that header today.

For sure.Football (aka life) is about taking your opportunities and Hunty sure as heck has done that and in my view he firmly has claimed the shirt as his.
He reminds me of Kevin Keegan as a player. Not necessarily the most naturally gifted player but low centre of gravity and puts his all every second of every match chasing down not just the 50/50s but even the seemingly dead situations.Tenacity energy mayhem.Hunty yer a star.

For the laughs I have had watching Cech in his peewee hat he will always be a legend to me.

Two in two now and a matchwinner last week.

Full international caps.

100% effort.

and by all accounts a top man aswell.

God bless Steven Hunt, long may he remain a Royal.

He was going for the ball, the keeper stood still and Hunt couldn't move out the way.

Ridiculous fall though from the keeper, he's been watching too much of Diouf.

Nope, I'm with Mags on this one. I'm convinced he could have stopped. Silly, silly, silly!

Watch MOTD later, you'll be taking that back. He could have got out of the way of the keeper and clattered into him pretty hard, the keeper went down naturally enough.

My take is Hunty saw a slight smidgen of a chance that Jussi Jaaskelainen could fumble the situation and got in the mix. When it was clear the potential had gone Hunty was in flight and Dioufesque meal made by said keeper.
Perhaps a tad over zeolous but thats Hunty.

agreed. he was superb today working his socks off, defo one of the best players we have.

don't agree with the stick that bobby is getting in this thread though, bear in mind that he was injured in many of the games that he played in this season, and how pivitol he was for us last season.
