Dylan Kerr's belter with the outside of his left foot was a great goal and favourite here. The South Bank went wild when that went in and I remember falling forward 15 or so rows and not finding any of my lot until we got back to the pub after the game.

Lee Nogan's well taken goal at Wembley was one of the finest goals you'll see anywhere IMO. Great skill and a cool finish. Still makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up!

Andy Hughes from about 30 odd yards at Molineux is also worth a mention. The silence from the home ends was

Robin Friday scoring 'that' goal.
I never got to see it but even the ref stopped and applauded the man!
I wish I could have seen the great man play for us.

sidwells away at leicester a few seasons ago was special

just rembered Hughes and Harpers at home to rotherham our first season back in div 1, we were 3-0 up at half time and was the best half of football i think i've ever seen us play as a team

forgot blakey's at plymouth, was a goal compared to george best as that was the weekend the great man passed away

How can you say Friday if you didn't see it?

There is no right or wrong answer as it's an opinion surely based on goals you've seen?

For me it is Kitson at Bradford, Little v Plymouth, Sidwell at Leicester and Forster at Sheffield United, oh and FOzzie's goal v PReston at home when he totally murked their whole side before scoring. Actually any Forster goal because it generally involved him running past 5 players.

Hodges v Oldham (i think) was a bit good.

Going for Kitson's overhead kick at Bradford. That was special.

Robin Friday - referee was Clive Thomas. I was stood on the Tilehurst End behind the goal and CT just stood with his hands on his head in disbelief. Best goal ever - absolutely.

Oh, right, for some reason I was thinking of the own goal by a Notts County defender, who headed the ball back to his keeper. Only that the keeper wasn't where the defender thought he was and the ball sailed over him into the net.

Now thinking about it, wasn't the County defender's surname Richardson or something?
