So next year we'll be celebrating a decade of Madejski football.

Best games there have been:

3) Reading v Derby to clinch the Championship

2) First Premiership game v Middlesbrough

1) Play-off semi final 2nd leg v Wigan

Anyone want to argue with me?

Think you've got it nailed on there.

No, there probably some other equally classic games but just can't put my finger on them.

For drama Rougiers late brace against Oxford in torrential rain will always be very memorable. But obviously not that significant.

So the hammering by Bristol Rovers doesn't make the list then, shame.

Oh and the game in which we beat palace 3-2 was probably the most entertaining I have seen at the madjeski.

Boro game without a shadow. The Wigan game was special too, couldn't make Derby, but I expect that was pretty special. I do however think that last seasons replay against Man Utd has to go down as one of the best games I have ever seen, for so many different reasons.

The first game v Luton was a high too.

As I couldn't make the Wigan match, I would substitute that for either the 3-2 vs Palace, 4-3 vs Oxford or 0-6 vs Bristol Rovers. Although, tbh, there was a series of games during the championship season when we were unplayable (eg, Hull, Norwich) and I'm not sure we'll ever see a Reading team look so invinvcible - it really was a joy to watch - going to a game and being almost certain of a comfortable Reading victory, played out with style.

it doesn't rate as the worst I ever saw at the Mad stad. It was just a bit laughable by the end.

I challenge you to say it was a worse display than losing 3-0 to Wimbledon on Boxing day when we actually had a good team.

When we lost 3-1 to Swindon in October 2001. That was terrible performance.

Beating West Ham on Pardew's return would be right up there amongst the best for me.

For some reason I always remember the 5-1 defeat of Oldham that happened during the petrol crisis, singing "What a waste of petrol" to the 50 or so Oldham fans who'd managed to turn up, then the East Stand clapping them at the end.

Think that was the first time we'd scored five goals in a game for some considerable time (Exeter away in the Div2 championship year?) - certainly the first time at the Madejski.

IIRC we then won our next home game 5-0, but can't remember who it was against.

Remember that game well.

I had a massive verbal at FT with a certain floyd_streete who was calling for Pardew's head, which I disagreed with.

Most of Y25 left after with 10 minutes to go but came running back up when Reading got one back....and sang Pardew's praises 6 months later.

I can remember actually counting the Oldham fans. Seems like another world now.

IIRC there was almost a couple of fights in the Jazz Cafe afterwards regarding the same thing.
