Gus the teenage cow The funny thing is I thought he was a quality player at Stoke and Arsenal reserves and expected a lot from the guy when he signed......I think the problem initially was he didn't fit in with the attitude of the team which was a real work ethic, he was used to being a quality ball player and didn't realise he needed to work his socks off on top of having ball skills, in short he was lazy and complacent, then injuries took their tool and after all the time he spent observing Reading's success from the sidelines surely the guy deduced in Eureakesque moment that a bit of graft doesn't necessarily make you a clogger....in the last 2 games he has impressed me and with Murty getting on and picking up a few injuries as well as the likelihood that Rosenior won't be signing before the deadline then I feel he is a better option than UDLC
.....while we are on the topic of someone being slated unceremoniously only to be offered a chink of light towards some glorious renaissance let me say this, the mdoerator who gave out my IP address to "prove" that I had written stuff about Coppell in wikipedia was wrong to do it, furthermore this actually proves nothing as this IP address is for a University in Ireland, the second largest University in Ireland with almost 20,000 students so personally I feel violated by this and would like an apology, since the mid 1980's I have supported Reading and that's not an easy thing to do in Ireland where most people support Manchester United, Liverpool or Celtic, the amount of abuse I've put up with through the years for supporting this club has been relentless but I have persisted and attend as many games as I can spending my hard-earned cash on weekend trips to watch Reading play.......so i don't need this crap from some smug mdoerator out to "prove" a point, my ego is not so fragile that I am affected by a few faceless comments but I don't appreciate IP addresses being published, indeed the University have contacted me about this and are not happy as they monitor our emails etc, finally I'll say that since Doyle and Long have gone to Reading, added to Hunt's recent good performances for club and country Reading's profile In Ireland has never been higher, people even recognise the replica jersey I wear around town now instead of asking "what the f**k is that club?", Reading after many years finally have respect on this Island, all John Halls and my good self ask is precisely the same, respect!

Gus the teenage cow It was a bit self-indulgent but there you go, as for these reactions, they are hmmm....how should I put this "typically neanderthal"
Let me quote you some lines from a poem that you won't understand because for you a report on a football match is high literature but these lines certainly apply to some members
"the witty man and his joke,
aimed at the commonest ear,
the clever man who cries,
the catch-cries of the clown,
the beating down of the wise,
and great Art beaten down."
