Team for Sunderland

by Only one Trevor Morley » 12 Sep 2007 14:12

Very tricky this week

Judging by various rumours, reserve games and possible injuries I think it will be.

USA
Murty, Ingi, Bikey, Shorey
Rosenior, Harper, Fae, Hunt
Lita, Kitson

Subs
Doyle
Duberry
Cisse
Convey

However Cisse for Fae, Doyle for Kitson and Duberry for Bikey is equally feasible

Sounds about right but I think that Oster may be on the bench (or even in the team)

I didn't know the entire country of USA was playing in goal for us.

thats a winning team in my eyes
alot better balance, and hopefully rosy will be looking to impress and have a great game out on the right
and fae will be more involved and comfortable than the last few games.
cant wait

What price Bobby playing on the right and Hunty on the left?

Given that rosenior played for the reserves at right midfield I'd be surprised......

He might give Convey a run out instead of Hunt however - after 2, 3-0 defeats you've got to ring the changes a bit

Not sure whether this is good news or not, but I've just read on the BBC website that Carlos Edwards and Kieran Richardson have broken down in training and therefore are unlikely to play against us on Saturday.

Nothing unlikely about it - Richardson is out for three months and Edwards a few weeks.

They basically have no other wingers to play and are now guessing that Halford might be playing on the right wing.

None, according to Nick Ives at the EP.

It was only one match and was served when Sunderland played Man Utd.

Only one Trevor Morley Very tricky this week

Judging by various rumours, reserve games and possible injuries I think it will be.

USA
Murty, Ingi, Bikey, Shorey
Rosenior, Harper, Fae, Hunt
Lita, Kitson

Subs
Doyle
Duberry
Cisse
Convey

However Cisse for Fae, Doyle for Kitson and Duberry for Bikey is equally feasible

Jesus, that midfield is depressing. Theres just no attacking quality at all.

We gotta go with Convey on the left. The strikers need some quality balls from out wide, Rosenior sounds very much like a right footed Hunt, you can see a combination of the two over hitting a lot of crosses. Hunts tempo is obviously important, but if Rosenior can give us that on the right, maybe Bobby can be to Rosenior what Blakey was to Hunt last season.
