Coppell out.

We want year-on-year improvement not the same as last year.

Much improved performance today and I actually thought Duberry had his best game in a Reading shirt today, own goal aside.

Just got back, one thing - £10 mutha fookin quid for parking? barstewards...anyway, to the game...

I havent seen reading play this year as ive been working hard at uni, my dad was away so he left me his ST so i drove all the way from canterbury to see us...im glad i made that trip.

Though at times we made silly errors, things to iron out, the overall approach was back to what i like to see (acknowledging that we have been far from our best). This, i feel, is down to the core of the team slowly coming back together, with Doyle, Kits, harper and sonko in the team, we have more confidence, more of a team tactic. The tempo appears to be faster (down to the fitness coach now having an effect??) and barring a few poor missing by lita, of which i would like to add would have been FANTASTIC IF even just one of those went in (notice the difference between success and failure) we were in control today.

Areas to improve must be retention of possession still, we give the ball away by trying to find the killer ball, or lack of concentration leading to long ball going out of play. Again, this could and probably is down to confidence, something that seems to have grown of late.

Now hopefully a good win away at fulham can finally bring some more calm and considered evaluations of Reading and where we are going....

relax guys, remember to keep doing the simple stuff

had Doobs not scored it..M Owen lurking on his ass would've (looking on the replays..the only time that you were aware of Englands main man being on the pitch)

as a bunch of N Stand folk sang.....(after their undeserved equaliser)...:

Shall we score a
shall we score a
shall we score a goal for you?

Fezza Just thought I'd apologise to the team for ever doubting them. So for all the nasty things I've said about Gunnar being to old and unaware, of Doobs being sh*t, of murty being past it and Long not being able to score in a brothel... Sorry I'm a c£nter.

Great result - well played

That is all.

Long does come across as a very clean cut and well spoken young man who perhaps, in his efforts to become a professional football player, may well have been sheltered from the steamier sides of life.

Perhaps indeed he would not be able to score in a brothel!
