MOTM V MAN CITY

by higher » 24 Nov 2007 17:04

You decide. Darn unlucky losing to a 93.51 minute goal but thats football. City probably deserved it on overall play but we were so close to ruining their 100% record.
Drat and double drat. Bring on the boro.

What makes you say that? Ireland cant be the man of the match against man city, as he wasnt playing against man city....it would be 'funnier' had the thread title been phrased so that your witty response could have been valid. Please try harder.

No Harold. It says Man of the Match versus Man City. Was Ireland playing versus Man City? No he wasn't.

That wasnt what i said.....LOL. The title thread doesnt allow you to validly choose any man city player....had it been MOTM - reading v man city then yes, very clever, but NO it doesnt

Sorry, I didn't see any rules stipulationg we couldn't vote for a Man City player. Being impartial he was my MOTM. No need for Reading fans to throw their toys out of the pram as thats my opinion.

The negativity on here is amazing. We played well today - we really fought and Ingi was great. Best performance of the year from him.

When?

I went for Kitson, no one really stood out though. We need to stop playing so deep. I understand why we're doing it, but it means when we do try and attack we often don't get past the half way line and have too few numbers in support. We also never have anyone in the right areas to sweep up second balls.

Exactly my reaction. Most humourless bore on HNA, and that's saying something.

Harper? LOL

He was shit today and was in the right place at the right time once.

Tough one or me between Kitson (for England) and Boris but Kitson (for England) gets it for me. Non-stop hassling and that flick over his head.

Harper should of helped out Shorey insted of doing his pointing in the build up to the 1st goal. He could clearly see that Shorey had two men to deal with but insted of going over to one of them, he stood still marking nobody until it was too late.

Serious question U&D, were you at the game? IMO we battled hard and deserved a draw out of it. 11 players working their socks off including MotM Harper (even though he has shorter socks than the others).

We played pretty well today and would have deserved a point. My MOTM goes to Bryn, I thought he had his best game so far ths season. I've been quite vocal in my criticism of him but he played very well, broke up the play and managed to restrict Elano. I still don't think he's the long term answer but deserves praise after a very good game
