Eleven Stephen Hunts

by Cookie » 01 Dec 2007 20:51

In his Match Of The Day interview Steve Coppell said he wouldn't mind ELEVEN Stephen Hunts in his team.

This probably says more about Coppell than it does about Hunt. :)

At least he looks like he's trying unlike some players out there.

Sonko looked like he had kryptonite in his back pocket.

If I had been Marcus I would have decked him.

Hunt gets stuck in and does a job of chasing balls down, running with the ball and taking on players, crossing into the box from out wide.

He doesn't get it right all the time but the commitment and effort he puts into his game is something the majority of the rest of the squad lack in abundance right now so get off Hunts back.

Maybe if we could see the same effort from the whole squad it might just remind us of a team that finished in the top 10 last season?

Hunt played well for the first 20 minutes, then was toilet as usual. The free kick second half sums him up perfectly.

which is pretty much the same synopsis (of the fellah) that the Brentford Fans gave us about him a few years ago.

Difference is...that he does the same two leagues up.

He owes us nothing

None of our players lack passion or commitment....they lack quality.

I think Coppell must have been misheard.

He actually said "after watching the game I conclude that I have a team of 11 <word that rhymes with Hunt>s".

Passion and commitment blah-di-blah.

I'D fookin well give passion and commitment if I played for Reading.

Doesn't mean I'm any good at football though.

Lacking confidence or a season too far? I thought only Kitson looked anything like a Premiership player today.

I'm worried that George Hicks has already written little Reading out of the Premiership:
"We've a big game on Sunday against Bolton, a big game against Marseille [in the Champions League on Tuesday week] and a big game with our neighbours to the east [Manchester United on December 16] and the main thing is the team is playing better."

cor dear- Hunt is shocking, he is totally out of his depth in this league. I'd prefer Oster on the right. And afraid to say it but the team lacks a certain central midfielder- I think we have the worst centrel midfield in the leage
