Reading Between the Lines

by LUX » 20 Dec 2007 09:11

got given this for Xmas by my colleagues yesterday (plus Official Club calendar and Annual. FFS, how old am I???)

it is a very good read for any Reading supporter as it is a detailed account of last season seen through each players' eyes in turn (one player/manager/coach etc per game, but spot the lol error in the text below the picture of JM supposedly taking the plaudits after the 6-0 win over West Ham).

BTW is the author (?Roach) a nobber? There are also a few in-depth fans' contributions.

it is supposed to be the West Ham game, but the photographers in the back ground are in shorts and the crowd is in T shirts. No way is that New Years Day. I'd guess it is Middlesbro in August.

Got this the week it came out. Very good read, especially Wally Downes on the Sheff Utd game.

Reading Between The Lines

Lux, glad you enjoyed the book. I am indeed a nobber, hiding behind the name of Gilson. Those errors were disappointing, though mainly publishing typos and blamed on the book being turned round so quickly. Easy for me to blame someone else though! They will be corrected in any subsequent print runs.
