Was better than Kitson today - couldn't shoot for toffees though.

Should be, but won't. Doyle is one of Coppell's favourite players, so no matter how badly he plays, he will start every game, whereas, a player like Lita, who has been playing better, is dropped, not for the greater good of the team, but because Coppell doesn't like him.

defo time to drop doyle. seems to be guaranteed a place without really doing anything. kitson and long seems the better option. Oster had a good game on the right so Doyle not needed there either.....drop him, might give him the kick up the a*se that he needs.....

I agree with you totaly. I have the up most respect for sc but i do think he is to loyal to certain players some
times and at times this has affected the results. He needs to change players and start other players, the team line up is to set in stone!!

I agree Doyler needs dropping

He's seemed lethargic in recent games

I watched the game today and it was more of the same from him

Longy keeps getting a run out

but bad boy Lita is where I think the goals will come from

Coppell has to give Kits and Lita a chance together

That would be my choice.

Doyle, Kitson, whoever plays upfront for us needs some better service in order to thrive.

With Hunt and Oster on the wings we're never going to get a decent suppy of crosses into the box and our lot upfront are feeding off scraps.

On top of that we've not got enough quality in the squad to take these guys out of the side when they need a rest because of loss of form or just the fact they're plain knackered. Both Kitson and Doyle look like they've been run into the ground over the last two months. I certainly think the xmas period (playing with a loan striker after the sending offs) and a lack of midfield options (with Doyle having to play right wing) is catching up with us now.

If only. Signing someone even on loan might be too much of an investment for us.
(I know what you meant)

Coppell's loyalty to players such as Doyle is starting to reach ridiculous levels and has undoubtedly contributed to us ending up where we are now.

I think we should drop Doyle for the next two weeks to give him some time.

We can then bring him back in for the Villa game!!

Seriously Doyle has been one of our best ever players who is currently going through a bad patch. Probably the worst thing we could do is to drop him. The two week break should do all our players good.

Dropping Doyle at the moment seems like it might be a good idea, he may well benefit from a spell in the bench/ reserves. At the very least, giving Lita a go up front will give him a chance to put his proverbial money where his mouth is and shut him up for a while.

The chance of healthy competition will get them both eager to play at their best, something we desperately need at the moment.

I wouldn't say he was man of the match but he ran all day and worked his a*se off for the team. Kitson was poor today...
