exactlyThou Voice ...for any people that enjoy stats, how many other Premiership teams have actually gone eight on the bounce in a row and kept their manager?
Ah well, what can you do - this is Reading.

Royalee I'd agree with all of that Doyle comment aside - it's not his fault he has no service from the vacuum that is our midfield.

Hardly worked his socks off today though did he. Looked dispirited and disinterested for long spells.

I think thats a bit harsh RB. He was poor in the first half but had some good runs in the second half and put in some decent crosses....but no-one was in the penalty box. Where was Kitson????
Remember Bolton last season...2-1 up in the final minutes. Shorey's crossed with no less than 5 Reading players in the box...what the hell is going on?? Today was bloody awful.

That is historical and non-important. My question remains, how many Premiership teams have lost eight in a row and not sacked their manager.
We are (currently and only just) a Premiership club. We should be building this and moving forward, not looking back to the past and thanking the balding one for what he has or has not done.
Whatever he has done in the past, he has royally screwed up this season (and the end of last season).
How hard would it have been to score another goal to get into Europe? What was the excuse, we were safe so he'd mix the team up since Sidwell was leaving?

Thou Voice Just quoted from the Reading page from the balding guy...
"I have a lot of confidence in the players, and even today for little spells Doyle and Kitson looked good, but we got nothing, that was the end result."
- Oh for little spells? We need people that look good for a little spell, which generally is about 90 minutes per week considering what they're paid - not two of three minutes at some point within a 90 minute time frame.
"I'm not stupid, I can make changes, and nothing is based on personalities, I just want the best team.
- If you think that you are fielding the best team then you are stupid. Oster playing? Leroy not? Doyle, one of the few "first team" strikers in the Premiership who has not scored this year and not scored this season with his feet!
"Leroy has scored in the reserves, that's all I can ask, it's just not in the first team as yet.
- And who's fault is that?
"It's a conundrum I have to solve."
- Well you've not managed to solve anything else this season so have a go at that.
...for any people that enjoy stats, how many other Premiership teams have actually gone eight on the bounce in a row and kept their manager?
What is the real worry for me, is Shorey scoring that goal. We'll end up with at least nine of the starting eleven against Middlesb' and nothing will improve.
Ah well, what can you do - this is Reading.

Sir Rodger Doyle I think we will only lose one player next season. Some others maybe pushed.

Agreed. If any scout bothered to watch our games they'd realise there are few worth taking. Shorey will move on which is what his career needs in all honesty. There isn't a player in England whose gone backwards more in a year than him. Other than that seriously who would want any of this lot?

wrong, all the plastics have been terrible. supporters who left after the 2nd goal today, shouldnt bother coming back and should be ashamed to associate themselves with this magnificient. were you there when we have 9,000 every game in Div 2? I WAS. Were you there when Bullivant was managing at the end of Elm Park? I WAS. All plastics on this site who've only come for the Premiership, should f*ck off. You're not proper supporters.
