Todays marks

USA. 7 two fine stops from long range efforts
Rosenior.7 really looks like Murty as had his day, can make right back berth his own.
Shorey, 7 steady if unspectacular game.
Bikey.9 again immense at the back and unlucky not to score the winner.
Inga.7 cool under pressure
Oster.7 whatever the doubters may say he was good today, linking up well with Liam. unlucky to be subbed with Hunt on the pitch.
Hunt.4 rubbish, no distribution and missed two golden chances to win the game.
Harper.6 always in the faces of the opposition but no real distribution.
Mate.8 always looking for the ball, played some delightful passes and unlucky to be sent off.
Doyle.6 really don`t know what the problem is, never stops running but seems to have lost that goalscoring knack.
Kitson.6 covered alot of ground, but the chances are not falling his way right now.
Subs.
Long. 7 nearly a inspired substitution, uses his pace against tiring defenders, set up a great chance for Hunt which should have been taken
Cisse.6 tireless running.

Hahnemann 8 - saved us a point.
Rosenior 7 - confident on the ball, rarely gave it away, good to see some pace on the right.
Shorey 6 - steady, couple of poor free-kicks, one brilliant corner that nearly saw Bikey score.
Bikey 8 - immense, has been a revelation since he came back into the team - Sonko's days could be numbered.
Ingimarsson 7 - didn't notice him much, which suggest he had a comfortable game; only Roberts ever really found space in Blackburn's attack.
Oster 7 - did little wrong, not much spark, but seems to be gaining confidence.
Hunt 4 - his worst game for an age, passes went all over the place and he missed two good chances.
Marek 6 - two stupid bookings (IMHO) that cost us the chance to really go for the win; whilst on the field, looking an attacking threat.
Harper 6 - tidy, made some tackles (for a change), but offered little going forward.
Doyle 5 - doesn't look like he will score for another 16 games, and just doesn't look as good a player as we had last season.
Kitson 6 - didn't stop running and comfortable on the ball, but didn't get a sniff in front of goal.

Long 7 - injected some pace up front and should have an assist but for Hunt's miss.
Cisse 6 - shored up the midfield.

Hahnemann 9- Great game, a number of vital saves
Rosenior 7- again, great game i thought, energetic, good defending and nice touches
Shorey 6- ok game
Bikey 8 - awesome game, dominant, santa cruz kept out for most of the game witht he exception of late chance
Ingimarsson 7 - good game, fairly solid
Oster 6 - not a bad game from him at all (!), numerous hopeless corners though
Hunt 5 - reasonable game, but useless finishing on 2/3 occasions, especially after longs great work
Marek 6 - energetic, unlucky to be sent off...second was a joke, roberts ran into him!
Harper 6 - ok game...some bursts forward
Doyle 6 - wish he would get a break, cant fault him for effort, tireless running
Kitson 6 - good effort as always, few opportunities upfront, a vital acrobatic clearance at the back late on
Long 7 - full of running, livened us up, laid a golden chance on the plate for hunt
Cisse 6 - steadied the midfield

East stand Linesman - 6, Didn't notice him, partly because he was the opposite side of the pitch to me but probably just because he did a comparatively good job

West stand Linesmen - 3, guessed correctly once or twice but seemed to think the offside rule doesn't apply to players in black and red shirts. Very consistent in this respect. Has a future ahead of him as a referee.

Referee - 2, Started okay, Has a reputation for sending a player off early. Completely lost respect and control with inconsistent decision making. If he can maintain this form he has a long future ahead of him in the premier league.

USA - 9 -brilliant pulled off some fine saves and kept us in the game. MOM

Rosenior - 7- did ok, nothing spectacular, thought he did well after the sending off to keep bombing forward to make an extra body
Shorey - 5 - i thought this was one of his poorest games for a while. Kept giving the ball away, or pinging it to kitsons head from which he could do nothing
Ivar - 7- soild as ever, up against two good strikers and kept them reasonably quiet
Bikey - 8 - Handeled his man (men) wonderfully well, composed on the ball, won most of his headers, unlucky not to score winner at the end

Oster - 6- OK, was good in the first 10 minutes then started to give the ball away, not the best, neither the worst.
Hunt - 4- Usually a hunt fan, i thought he was dyer today, some of his touches were woeful, and as for his mis kick...
Marek - 6 - was doing ok, some nice touches. perhaps a bit unlucky with the red but he did keep giving away needless freekicks.
Harper -6- Usual harper, ran alot, did some good things and some bad things

Kitson - 7- We seem to have the old lazy kitson back. In periods he looked good and in other periods he looked dis interested.
Doyle - 7 - I have given him a 7 for his performance and effort at RM after the red. He looked lost, lazy and disinterested up front and would have got 4 or 5, but worked extreamly hard at RM to support long and then get back. He looked to be taking steps forward in the last few games but this was a step back.

Long - 7
Cisse - 6

USA 8 Saves kept us in the game
Rosenior 5 Sorry didn't rate him. Looked hesitant and drifted away from his opponent too often but did improve towards the end
Shorey 6 OK
Ingi 7 Solid and safe
Bikey 9 MoM for me just ahead of USA
Harper 6 Quiet game but worked hard
Marek 5 Didn't seem on same wavelength as Doyle and Kitson
Oster 6 Some poor passes but also some good stuff as well
Hunt 5 Lacked composure and ineffective
Kitson 5 Seems to be lacking confidence. Quiet game
Doyle 5.5 Worked hard but well shackled
Long 7 Came on and again looked good. Needs to be in starting line-up
Cisse 6 Did ok

Hahnemann came across as MOTM as far as radio coverage goes. Bikey sounded good too.

Everyone else sounded fairly quite and full of mistakes.

Pretty much how I saw it Ian although I had Bikey just ahead of USA for MoM.
I want to see USA's save from Blackburn's free kick when it seemed to me half of Lancashire was off-side. MOTD will be worth watching to see if the officials got that right

My first game since the damp squib of the Spurs FA cup reply and the tepid game against Portsmouth. Things do seem to have moved in right direction...
Hahnemann - 8 - good saves, presence in box, distribution erratic - not helped by wind
Shorey - 7 - steady
Ingermarsson - 8 - developing good partnership with Bikey
Bikey - 9 - pace and presence, almost faultless
Harper - 7 - competent and swept up the loose balls with simple passes
Mateowosky 7 - busy, but can't tackle - this red has been waiting to happen...
Hunt - 6 - he tried hard, but couldn't beat defenders and touch erratic - injury to hamsting some mitigation
Oster - 6 - Lacks pace, some neat touch, substitution inevitable after going down to 10 men
Doyle - 7 - Work rate and dribbling out of top drawer - need him to get on end of balls in box , not Hunt
Kitson - 7 - Like Doyle, too much of his best play out of the penalty area

Cisse - 6 - didnt do anything to set game alight
Long - 8 - Works well as impact player, gave defenders /GK no peace

No 13 - 8 - As good as any Reading game I've been to where we haven't won

The team - 8 - Can't fault the effort and spirit, especially after the sending off

Corners - 5 - too many seemed to be floated in to high, meaning that they could be easily cleared away

Free kicks - 7 - It wasnt going to happen this week after the superb deliveries last week

NB - Simod cup team presentation - pity it wasnt 10 mins before game rather than during the half time break - any views?
