When the U's dropped out of the Football League two seasons ago, the Oxford Mail received dozens of letters and e-mails from local football fans saying they would no longer go to watch Oxford and would instead travel to Reading.

 FickLOLe.

Now call me stupid...

All of HNA? Stupid!!

....but I bet they'd still prefer to watch Reading in the Championship with a good team, great stadium and everything else going for us rather than a Conference club.

Still, LOL @ Oxford United.

There was no mention of Reading at all on BBC radio Oxford on Monday morning, they just talked about Man Utd winning the title and managed to find the chairman of Man U Oxford supporters branch. Apparently he's going to Moscow.

Thats got to be a joke... surely? Championship or Conference football? Hmm, I wonder where people will go? Oh - and a ground with 4 sides also helps, Oxford. Saves you having to go in the car park when all those shots go astray : Can we have our ball back, please?

reading that cheered me up

they still only have 3 sides to their shitty little stadium - i'm doing that MyFC thing so will go there next season to see Ebbsfleet win there and laugh at them - just hope we don't have Blackpool away that day!

ALOLITO

A neanderthal There is only one Premier League club in the Thames Valley!!

Oxford United & The Blue Square Premier - and we'll win it in 2008/09

All those plastic Reading fans will be back at the regions BIGGEST team next season!

"That's why were premier,"

Also:

When the U's dropped out of the Football League two seasons ago, the Oxford Mail received dozens of letters and e-mails from local football fans saying they would no longer go to watch Oxford and would instead travel to Reading.

But the prospect of now watching Preston, Blackpool and Swansea at the Madejski Stadium may not be so enticing.

Watching Preston, Blackpool and Swansea >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Watching Kettering, Barrow and Lewes

Funny the journo didn't seem to like the fact that we had much larger attendances before the prem than oxford and that I didn't think our increases were oxford and swindon fans coming for the prem but armchair fans that I hoped had been converted :D

Just LOL. I'd end up with 150,000 more different types of AIDS at the Kassam than if I went to retrieve a ball at Rivermead...!!!

"While Oxford United are not in the business of getting pleasure from their near-neighbours' misfortunes - unless it happens to be Swindon Town! - they may nevertheless benefit from Reading's relegation.

Mmm now let's see, Forest Green Rovers, Salisbury, Histon, that's one hell of a difficicult decision.

Reading some of the comments on there made my day they're so bitter and funny. The best was a massive rant which ended with the line "Oxford are a bigger club than Reading, FACT".

2 stands and non league football versus frequently sold out 24,000 all seater and the Championship. Hmmmmmmm.

Cornwall's highest placed team is Truro City, isn't it, of the Western League. Which is below the Southern League.

The old plastic argument out again. LOL@ fans like swindon and oxford calling us out on it, yet when their crowds increase due to success they are not plastic? how does that work.
Think we can all agree though, we need plastics even though they are annoying happy clapping idiots.
