No bother. No doubt be some differences between published figures, but you'll get an idea from the table.
Just to prove stats can be made to say pretty much anything, we are actually a selling club, in that the average price we receive for a player is more than the average price we pay for a player, (for those where a fee is involved). Of course the fact that we have paid for nearly twice as many players as those we have received a fee for suggests our players generally are worse than average!

Staggering how many players we've 'given away' or just left, as opposed to selling. 
I seem to remember that our transfer record fee received for years and years was for a player we sold to Southampton in 1969 for £110,000, but I can't remember his name!
Or am I having a senior moment??

Wow, 3 of those top 4 buys have turned out to be real gems haven't they! Seol, Halford and Fae, lets hope Marek doesn't flop this season and join "The Curse of Reading Record Transfer!"

As for the list of sales, its shocking that 4 of the top 8 were from our 94/95 squad; in other words, in the last 13 years, we have only had 3 players worthy of fees higher than those from that season (Keith Curle being before that season), including 2 players who were with the club for a season or less (Asaba and Halford).
Doesn't say much for us bringing players on and doesn't indicate that we are a selling club at all.

Fae's still a Reading player. You'll all be LOLing on the other side of your faces when we celebrate his 250th Premiership game for the Royals.
