Royals vs Swans match thread

by UpNorth » 27 Sep 2008 14:36

Here goes...

No Harper or Pearce in the starting line up or on the bench.

Gunnerson and Inga back in starting line up. Long still on the bench

have to say I'm not surprised, Harper has been playing poorly for the most this season, and whilst Pearce will develop into a good player, reports are he was at fault for at least one of the goals against Watford.

Who says Coppell is too loyal? (Ignoring the Long farce!)

Said on the OS that Harps was a doubt in training this week so I think its more of an injury concern keeping him out rather than Coppell having doubts over his performances.

Whatever the reasons I think it's a thoughtful selection by Coppell.

Pearce was, as thirtyarder states, at fault for the second goal against Watford so am happy to see Ingi back. Glad to see Gunnar in - Coppell must have been impressed by his performance against Stoke. Let's hope he can fit in well.

Also glad to see Henry on the bench.

Am impressed by the thinking behind this team. Let's go out and win now...

I stand corrected

This means that Coppell has in fact replaced the promising youngster with one of his old and rubbish favourites, and would have included the underperforming Harper but for injury.

Coppell is too loyal! Coppell out!!

Mr Salako on Sky Sports says we are all over Swansea and Kebe is magic on the right. And there was me thinking Johnny Salad knew a thing or two about football!!!
