Boring boring Reading (back from the game)

That was by far and away the least interesting second half ever. Literally ever. I'm very disappointed that we only scored one in the half. Coppell out, I say.

6-0 against Wednesday, failing to get 7-0 and now only 4-0. We're a team in decline - COPPELL OUT!

All Kebe's fault. Though Hunt and Doyle must sholder blame too.

Actually, come to thing about it, it's all Oster's fault.

Ever since we released Les Ferdinand we've been spiralling downwards

Good intresting first half. Dull second. But at least we won and with a few goals!

That burst of magic midway through the first-half reminded me of some moments from 05/06 - when we were so far better than the other team and it was only a matter of time before we scored.

I KNEW it!! Ha. Right again!

If the second half really was boring, I'd love to have a boring rest of the season, winning every half 1-0!

Well done to the fans who turned up, 20k attendance very impressive given what happened, (or actually what didn't), over the summer.

Indeed.

Thankfully, we're all too polite to start singing "we're just too good for you", but I thought it a couple of times.

Sheff Wed & Swansea will be in mid-table mediocrity come the end of the season, yet we thrashed them. One would expect to thrash the bottom-of-the-table club, the resident whipping boys, but not the normal/average lot.

Still, we need to take this form away from home. Roll on Tuesday...

Wednesday got a creditable 2-1 win at Charlton today. I am hopeful about Tuesday.

LoyalRoyalFan Good intresting first half. Dull second.

May I be the first to record tht I'm gald that the boys took their foot off the pedal in the 2nd half. Save it for Tuesday, lads.

Coasting to victory against reasonably decent teams is a nice luxury to have.

Why bust a gut if the game is already won?

To entertain the fans?

Maybe.......................

Exactly. We had the job done. Saving the legs for a tough test at Wolves on Tuesday.

Couldn't see much of the action in the first half stuck in the North stand with the sun directly in our faces.
From what I could actually see I thought Stephen Hunt was exceptional. In the first 45 he was everywhere.
Second half was an anti-climax although the Swans deserve credit for knocking the ball around nicely although to little effect.
Its a good win and we are averaging an astonishing 4 goals at home.
Tuesday night will be very different. We cannot afford to lose to Wolves and fall eleven ponts behind them.

tbf Wolves are like us...3 years ago.
they're doing very well, i dont think we should get our hopes up and expect 3 points, a draw would be nice but i agree we can't fall 11 points behind them but then we could still catch up to Birmingham?
back to the game, the first 20 minutes were probably the best of the whole match. When walking to Reading station a 'die-hard' Swans fan was shouting the odds and telling everyone they lost 4-0...it's not something to boast about! he sang, '4-0 who gives a sh*t?' i was thinking, maybe YOU should, your defence were terrible.
This made me laugh,

"CHAMPIONSHIP newcomers Swansea City received a masterclass lesson from ex-Premiership side Reading at the Madejski Stadium with a demoralising 4-0 thumping.

After winning their first South Wales derby against Cardiff in nearly a decade last Tuesday, Swansea were on a high as their travelled East along the M4 and expectations were cautiously positive.

Manager Martinez expected this encounter to be a stern test, but little did he imagine his side would be comprehensively beaten by a team which appear to be scoring for fun." because football matches are that easy

I think our boring second half performance is because we are still struggling with the legacy of Terry The Taxi Driver Bullivant.
