PEARCEY ...to finish in the top two.
I read on here a couple of weeks ago that 78 points would be enough. No way Jose.
I reckon we could be looking at 90 to guarantee a top two place

Ian Royal 88 would do it IMO.
Maybe as low as 86, but I doubt it.

JC Since the Leagues were re-organised (1992/93) the highest number of points by the team finishing 3rd was 90. The average over that 16 year period was 81.9.
When we got 106 the team in 3rd got 81

dellwoodboy Last season in the premiership all the silly commentators were saying 40 points was needed to stay up but it was obvious half way through the season that 36 points would be enough and so it proved

watfordroyal Out of the top 3, I fear it'll be us that drops away into the play-offs bunch.
The transfer window won't affect Wolves or Brum, in fact they'll probably strengthen,
but I think we're gonna suffer disruption & destabling, losing Doyler & SHunt & maybe others.
I predict January seeing a poor points return for us.

Sun Tzu If teams in mid table get 79 points then teams at the bottom are going to get incredibly low totals as there are only so may points to go around...
Odd that last season teams got so few to go up and yet those same teams are doing pretty well in the Prem, clearly how you go up doesn;t necessarily show how you will do once you are up there.
