Avon Royal The ref setting up the winning goal.

I remember that. The ref that night got in the way 2 or 3 times in the first half and I told my mate that he would throw one in for them. He did. In style. I was furious.

I was quite overcome when that went in for 3-3, and tried to enter the field of play to celebrate with Dyl but was punched in the face by a police officer whilst attempting to do so.

Nogan's goal just before which brought it back to 3-2 was pretty special as well.

"Chairman John Pyke, the man behind the switch, kicked off the first game at City’s new home on September 1 as City beat Fulham 2-1 in a friendly in front of a crowd of around 3000. It wasn’t all plain sailing after that – an FA Cup tie against Reading later in the year had to be switched to a neutral venue when City’s opponents complained that the Nest pitch wasn’t big enough – but the club soon settled into their new home and it wasn’t long before five figure crowds were packing into the compact little ground."

Same old Reading, always whinging :-)

Does it go on to say how we played our reserves in the game and how our loud mouthed striker of the day thought the cup was a worthless piece of dog doo?

Gunn
Culverhouse
Bowen
Butterworth
Linigan
Townsend
Gordon
Fleck
Rosario
Phelan
Putney

That team almost finished top of the pile without a left winger. Stick Gilkes in there and I reckon they would have done it.
