readingbedding He played for the first team, didn't really pull up any trees, but in 1990 who did? And yeah, injuries screwed his playing career.

OLLIE KEARNS Worked at Reading for some years and is very respected inside the game. Glowing Jose M reference landed him the Watford job. Could well be a future Reading manager if he does well in the next couple of years.

Spot on. His coaching reputation is second-to-none in the game. Makes Scolari's training sessions look amateurish in comparison apparently. And Mourinho was a big, big fan. Given a bit of time, and some money to bring in some of his players, he’ll do well at Watford.
I doubt he’ll make tonight’s game much fun, mind.

Not even as a sub, buy a copy of Royals remembered, and Heaven on Earth, bit out of date now but relevant for old facts.
In 1999/2000 it is fully possible that at some point WW were higher than RFC, as there was only a one point difference in the end.

Just checked soccerbase, nope, not at all. We finished two places above them and by one point.

It doesn't say we finished behind Wycombe in the league, just that we were behind them.
That probably means in the way the club was set up and run etc, not league position.
I remember Rodgers as a player for the Reserves and he was alright. Don't think he was ever that good that he was definately going to make it though. Did a lot of good work at the club at the time though from what I heard so good luck to him.

I completely agree, so it's with thanks to two of the best managers ever in Wenger and Ferguson for telling us 'there is no way Reading will go down'.
