Get Kitson back....

Sell Lita for £1m, resign Kitson for a 'reasonable' fee, maybe £2m, everyone's a winner, petit dejeuner.

Everyone except the dressing room morale.

p.s. If LL does go to Sheff Utd, we won;t have to wait until next year.

NO THANKS!! The guy is a spent force and has never been the same since he thought he was better than he was and started spouting in the press and his refusal to be breathalysed. Transfer of the century getting 5.5 million for him.

We haven't got (and probably won;t get) anything like that for him in reality though....

I would defo get him back, his heart is clearly still with us and he's better than Lita and Hunt imo, goals to game ratio for us says it all

As much as he is a Reading legend, and a big part in the last few years success, he did become a bad influence in the camp, which i'd rather not have back thank you. Add to that his constant injury problems, and it would be a complete step in the wrong direction to bring him back.

If we are going to sign a new striker it should be someone like, Matty Fryatt (I know he's just signed a new deal at Leicester, but its just an example) who are in good form, can strengthen the squad, and will have something to prove.

And as Leroy doesn't seem to be going anywhere, this is irrelevant anyway.

Can you point me to the interview where the evidence tells us that Kits heart is CLEARLY still with us ?

Goals to game ratio PRIOR to injury says a lot. Amount of injuries he picks up far outweighs his recent scoring record.

Where is the evidence he was causing trouble in the camp? Any quotes from RFC staff saying so?

Ive never been a massive fan of his arrogant personality, his FA Cup comments, his d+d charge, his ginger day outburst etc, but the fact of the matter is he's a bloody good player who Coppell can get the best out of, and if fit will only aid us to getting promotion.

Actually, there is a bank of evidence, topped by an interview with Kitson himself when he went to Stoke, admitting that he'd been responsible for some of the upheaval.

Coppell said just after he left that it was important to get the negative influences out of the dressing room. Didn't directly say Kitson, but it is pretty obvious what he meant...

I think he admitted it himself, didn't he?

For the record, I'm in the 'no' camp - unless he was going for around the 100k mark.

On loan maybe, doubt he'd come back though.
If I was him I'd treat RFC as a closed chapter.

Rather have Lita nowadays than Kitson.

Great player for us but like Shorey failed to live up to their own hype. Probably can't go back and Coppells not really one for forgiving and forgetting.

Coppell said at the fans forum - 'the one who spoke out most was the one most responsible - uncalled for is I think the word' as recoreded in the fans forum minutes - generally taken to mean Kitson.

Big change day for Kitson was the 6-4 game at white hart lane

he scored twice away from home and yet we still lost. I can imagine what I would have be saying in the dressing room!

Then it was a case I think of his head fell, a 7-4 and a 6-4 away from home, so we were banging in the goals but still not winning games.

I don't believe he was the same player after that.
