Conspiricy theory??

by Rusty royal » 18 Jan 2009 22:02

January has seen the football world turned upside down by the possible signing of Kaka, if he does come what would it do to the premiership wage structure?? My theory is that Sir John (having already said players wages are obscene) would prefer it if we stayed in the championship, just to keep the wage bill down. We may lose some of our "star" players, but we all know the rest are capable of staying (albeit mid table) for the foreseeable future.

Any other thoughts or do I get a Dodd

There is no way Sir John would avoid promotion. Even if he wanted to there is no way Steve Coppell would have anything to do with it. Finally, even if Steve did go with it, there is no way on earth the players would.

Plus, Sir Mad said he wants to sell the club.
That won't happen unless we're a long-term Premiership team.

Why would that be a conspiricy. To have a conspiricy there has to be more than two people involved. This club is NOT trying to throw away a chance at the premiership. If anything Man C are on a wage bill structure that would be disasterous to themselves and themselves only.

total disregard the for the definition of the word conspiracy and very little cap-dothing to theory. its widely accepted that kaka's projected wages are obscene and more then one chairman has gone on record as saying if his players think there will be residuals they can dream on. citeh's stupidity may well serve to do exactly the opposite of what you are speculating as it brings into sharp relief how stupid the lack of wage structure has become.

as for JM's desire to keep the club down to avoid being emroiled in the prem's wage debacle?

er

no.

Interesting theory, but absolute bollox, I'm afraid.

Everyone at the club is definitely 100% aiming for the PL - they all stand to gain so much collectively and personally if that's achieved.

Greetings, pop pickers - it's back to the 70's! Coming up one of the all time classics - "Reading never want to go up". But before then, how about a bit of Bob Seeeeeeger and his Silver Bullet Band...............

Agreed.

If their rich ass owners eventually get bored and decide to sell the club cheap, then City would have no-one to pay the wages and the whole club will implode mwahahaha :)

You don't really believe that, do you? Do you???????????????? There's always the possibility of submitting yourself to voluntary psychiatric support! Or alternatively, finish primary school first and then come back to this board.

Afraid not. I don't really expect much from somebody who lives amongst the Roman ruins.

Perhaps when we were in Elm Park he might have as it would have mean't investment in EP to get it up to standard.

Don't think it's practically feasible myself. Could have tried accellerating the mad stad or groundsharing in the short term.

It's not like we threw our one chance and that could have been disastrous.
