Wolves fans- Hungry Tonight!

by FiNeRaIn » 27 Jan 2009 12:42

I am urging readings fans to take note tonight, you'll be seeing one of the divisions top away followings. Expect them to be;

Moody
Loud
Agressive
Original
Pissed up
Uncooperative with stewards and police.

All the attributes that equate to a top away following. Maybe one day we might have a quality away support like this?

Being aggressive and moody are qualities?

I hope we're not like that any time soon.

We will be loud and proud,
we'll back the boys and make some noise.
URZZZZZ.

There's nothing original about Wolves. And certainly not you, for that matter, Finerain.

Territorial Behaviors

Wolves are territorial animals. Studies have shown that the average size of a wolf pack's territory is close to 200 km2. Packs travel constantly in search of prey, covering roughly 9% of their territory per day (average 25km/d). The core of their territory is on average 35 km2, in which they spend 50% of their time. Prey density tends to be much higher(!) in the territory's surrounding areas. Despite this higher abundance of prey, wolves tend to avoid hunting in the fringes of their territory unless desperate, due to the possibility of fatal encounters with neighboring packs. Established packs rarely accept strangers into their territories, with one study on wolf mortality concluding that 14–65% of wolf deaths were due to predation by other wolves. In fact, 91% of wolf fatalities occur within 3.2km of the borders between neighboring territories.

Communication between these boundaries is achieved in part through scent marking and howling. Howling is the principle means of spacing in wolf populations. It communicates the location of a core territory as well as enforcing a territory-independent buffer zone around the roaming wolf pack. This territory-independent buffer zone is a means of avoiding encounters with neighboring packs near territory borders. Lone wolves, in contrast, rarely respond to howls, instead taking an "under the radar" approach. Howling communicates a core territory over time, as a wolf packs spends much of their time there.

All I soddin know is im still wiping the gob off my jacket from a few years back,Bar stewards.

Yeah Wolves have got a top away following. You missed one thing off the list.

Going home beating your Mum up and shagging your sister.

A TOP away following.

Don't really care how good their fans are, just hope their team isn't hungry tonight.

I for got to add proud and arrogant to that list, two more great qualities in any support.

They aren't here to make friends boys, they are here to win a football match.

But the fans can't win the games...only the players can
Reading are hungry to win as well, incase you hadn't forgotten.

Why is being arrogant, agressive and moody qualities in any support? I'm sure the players' idea of 'good support' isn't any of those things!

And watch them turn on their team if things aren't going their way !

Wolves fans are reknowned for their fair weather qualities - back the team if they are winning, rip them to shreds if they aren't.

Only Wolves fans could have come up with THAT banner.....

That's odd that Finerain rates the Wolves fans. Every game I've been to involving Wolves, and that's a lot over the years, the Wolves support has been characterised by their lack of songs and quietness.

Unless the're getting beaten - as said, they turn on their players at a moment's notice.
