Was this the best game ever?

by NR_Royal » 10 Feb 2009 15:34

I'm pretty sure you all remember the 7-4 defeat to Portsmouth in the Premier League  . I just decided to watch this video of the goals and Chris Kamara going mental, and all I can say is this video brought a huge smile to my face despite us losing  . This was indeed an epic game, and I think you should watch this back and just smile. :P Our defenders were terrible and Hahnemann was just  .

Enjoy,

The Spurs 6-4 was a far, far better game.

We lost and conceded 7 goals.

Yep the best game by far..........for a neutral.

Yeah, obviously it wasn't good for us. But like you say, for a neutral, this game was pretty decent.

i was on a 6 hour flight during that game, when i got into the baggage hall at Ercan airport i decided to turn my phone on as i have the text updates. The goals came through 1 by 1 and i quite literally soiled myself with excitement only to be severely let down.

I just watched the Spurs 6-4 game, and actually yeah, it was better. It's like a different world to the regular 1-0, 0-0 games at the moment.

in all seriousness the 4-3 at home to Plymouth in the 80's was by far the best game, especially seeing as we were 0-3 down.

Is being beaten 7-4 better or worse than losing 3-0

( )

That one sprung to mind again. It was something special.

Kevin Bremner came on and everything changed.

Just watched the Spuds highlights up to 4-3 us. Makes me feel really sad for some reason

Probably due to no Shorey, No Kits, No Sonks, No Convey and Murts pretty much gone.

Does bring home the impressive way Copps has revitalised the team though. It was a hell of a depressing season last year.

The second one you mention was indeed amazing. Great one touch footie from us and we hit Tranmere on the break for fun. Anyone got a link for the goals of that there match?

Classic. Mate left at 3-0 and Senior, Bremner and a couple of mates were in the Prancing Horse that evening.

The 3-2 at home vs Palace 3 years ago was the best.game.ever.

It really did have everything - end to end throughout, never sure wh woudl win, and it was decided in the end by a stunning goal.
