Tbh I would hope that a few weeks after we signed a Championship first-teamer from Coventry, he might be ready to grace the field as a Reading player.

starting next week with harper, kebe, cisse and shunt all out. Tabb, Gunnar, Marek and Henry in. Certainly can't be any worse than the dross we saw today.

Slip some speed into their fecking drink someone. That might liven the team up.

Kebe was dire and those werent my remarks but my brothers, who came along to the match for the first time in ages...........why is it that loan players have to wait ages before they are allowed to play in the first team ? I remember if we signed a loanee, he played the next game e.g. Luke Chadwick. Why wasn't Tabb put on and Kebe taken off ? He just didn't want the ball and kept passing it back to Rosenior and if it attempted a cross, it was blocked. Why is it, also, that we have to attack down the right wing all the time ? Lita was really disappointing; he showed no desire, no flair, no creativity - atleast when Hunt and Doyle play up front, they score goals. Lita has had his chance to show the goods and they are wanting. Time to move on......maybe, Bristol City will have you back ?!

Well, that has to have been the worst performance i've seen this season-and i've seen some pretty dire happenings, including 2 consecutive 0-0's- that scoreline now, doesn't even seem that bad, certaintly better than the annoyance of a 2-0 loss at home.

Firstly, can i say, what the effin'ell was the linesman on the east side doing today?? not ONE decision he made was right. An offside he never flagged, 2 penalty decisions turned down in the first half, waving his flag for NO reason whatsoever against Leroy, oh and just being fcuking slow all game. The ref wasn't much better.

We NEVER win after internationals or a break. What is going on with our team? I am getting restless and bored watching Leroy, all the hype surrounding him when he returned from loan has faded and he's just as useless as he always has been. Why isn't Coppell starting Tabb?
I have to say, as soon as we hit the post in the first half, i did have a gut instinct that today wouldn't be our day. C'mon Reading, wake up, shake up, kick the ball in the net from now on because if we play like we did today for the rest of the season there is NO WAY we'll be promoted. Angry. Unsatisfied and hoping next week isn't another boring 0-0 between us at Notts Forest.

I can't see how you can say that Lita showed no desire - it's such a tired old cliche when a team loses: "Oh they showed no desire!"; I thought he showed tons of desire, just no end product to go with it. Actually, I thought the whole team showed desire - sometimes too much, so their play just didn't flow. That's what happens when you're low on confidence - just nothing goes right for you - and the harder you try, the worse it gets. Like Coppell said in his postmatch interview, the more you think about it the worse it gets.

Not so sure that's true, I thought the defeats to Charlton and Southampton were infinitely worse. At least we created chances today. Lita should have scored a minute after they scored, and also in the 2nd half when he skied over from 6 yards. We looked better today than we did in the two games I've mentioned, when we looked like we should have been absolutely battered. It wasn't a battering today. A deserved defeat, outplayed yes, and a justifiable scoreline, but not a battering by any means.

Kebe was dogsh*t today but he was 10X better than SHunt, who can just p*ss off now.

Armstrong was the only player trying to make something happen...... apart from Marek who played some great balls when he came on and was always looking forward, even if he had to pass sideways.

Marek and Cisse in the middle please. Or go to 3 in the middle

Awful performance.

Harper and S Hunt MUST now be dropped. Tabb cannot be any worse than Hunt and even if we had played with 10 men and Harper had stayed in the dressing room I genuinely believe we could not have been any worse.

As I have frequently pointed out in the past Lita and Doyle has never worked whereas Doyle and N Hunt look good together. Not totally blaming Lita as I thoughht he tried hard (but missed the four best chances we had) but Hunt must come back in for the good of the team.

I think those criticising Kebe are being harsh. He was the sole midfielder carrying any threat in the first half and Lita should have scored from his excellent cross. He did fade in the second half though.

Having said all that it did feel like we were playng against 14 in the first half with a series of bizarre refereeing and linesman decisons and what looked like a stone cold penalty to me. The game would have been different if we had scored first half.

Marek looked way better than any of our other midfielders, he even got SHunt playing in the last 20

Armstrong was excellent

Lita stays on 1 goal per season. I thought he'd have a good one today.

Watching him, he seems to be a one-man-band, just looking for HIS shot

Doyle-Hunt was a very productive pairing and I think Noel is better all round anyway
but it's clear that the main issue is midfield.

Am I right in thinking Tabb can play just behind the striker in a 4-5-1?
