At this level and with a young up and coming 19 year old as his defensive partner, doobs has been perfect, loads of experience at the highest level, he has been pretty useful since he has got back to full fitness. I for one applaud him for his performances very professional, strong and calm, somewhere in there is my reasons for him taking the armband.

He's certainly been better than Keown was!

Sorry, tenuous link being that they both came to us in the twilight of their careers with lots of premiership experience behind them and big reputations. In fairness to Keown, his experience was quite possibly responsible for Sonko's improved play.

He was great tonight. Some brilliant agressive tackles, won loads of headers in both boxes and put a huge amount of effort in. Wish I could have got a picture of his celebration at the end - amazing!

For that performance alone he should be in the team until the end of the season.

Fantastic passion shown from him and Rosey after the match. Good to see it still means so much to the old boy. Doobs was easily MOTM for me. Good man.
