Very much a similar happening to the league game. Reading dominate and lose to a late goal. We lost all momentum when Doyle went off, and I'll doubt he'll be available for the return leg as he was supported off at half time with his foot in an ice boot and came back out on crutches

Bikey's header, a yard either side of the keeper it was a goal and Doyle's shot just hit the guy on the line. Why oh why didn't Kebe play it earlier, Kitson had a tap in

not sure whether the foul for the pen was in or outside the box, but thats 28 penalties scored in a row for Alexander.

Have to take my hat off to Harding, I have much critised his loan deal since he arrived, but he was excellent tonight, against one of the best wingers in the division he was the star man by a mile.

The away goal Burnley might score in the next game. Just wondering whether 2:1 would be enough for them. This way I don't think the result is that bad. It means we've got to win by two goals or at least one to force extra time/penalties - which is probably not such a bad position to be in; we have to go for it. Burnley might be a bit more in two minds - sit back and defend or attack ....

I still don't think we'll do it as our home-form is so bad, but if we have a bit of a luck and grab an early goal ....

I think 'we were all over Burnley' is a bit of an over-statement; thought the second half was pretty dire (from both teams), although admittedly Kebe should have done something to set up Kitson.

Can someone tell me what happens in the second leg if Reading are up 2-1 at the end of regulation? Do they play for a sudden death goal or do they play shortened half(s)? Or do they play a third match or what?

It goes to extra time, ie 15 mins each way and if still level the dreaded penalties. The away goal rule does not count...just as well.

Third match. If thats a draw a fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh are played. Then penalties.
