Reading Vs Burnley 2nd Leg Sponsored by Optijisim

by Deathy » 09 May 2009 20:12

So then, we just need to win at home for the first time since January, keep a clean sheet and score 2 goals.

PS - Bikey > Drogba

'greed.

We have the psychological advantage going into Tuesday night. Burnley will be thinking "we're half-way there and they'll be rattled with the result and the sending off".

Win at home, extra time, even penalties (no away goals rule remember).

I know Coppell is loathe to play him, but does anyone have an update on Leroy's injury.....I have a feeling we're gonna need him!

We can beat them but we have got to take our chances. They are absolutely nothing special and created sod all tonight.
Burnley got away with it big time tonight.

Agreed. I would play him ahead of Kitson who looks so laboured all the bloody time

Would be so sweet if it was Leroy to come into the team and make a difference. I for some reason agree that he would come in and do better than our strikers out the moment.

We all know Leroy doesn't have the best attitude (allegedly!), but he wants to score goals and unlike our other strikers he wants to get in the 6 yard box.

Lita is a diving cheat and should never put on the blue and white shirt of Reading FC ever again

can we not recall the likes of James Henry even if it is just for the next match ?, Kebe was dreadful tonight and we need someone with a bit more determination........still think we will be playing Newcastle next season.

Burnley will not play that bad again, are chance has gone now. Why did everyone get excited after 2 away wins against very very poor sides in Derby and Norwich. Time for big changes all though the club me thinks.

Thanks for the Great Memories Mr Coppell you are a true RFC Legend and didnt deserve the shit your players have turned out since Xmas.

Let's face it the 101 games that they've played this season, or whatever it is, finally caught up with the Clarets this evening.

They were there for the taking. How the fu*k did we not win that?

Ne'er mind....when Tuesday comes. All will be fine. Keep the faith.

Its all about the first 15 minutes. We get an early goal we have a good chance. We got no one that has that spark though apart from Kebe and thats frightening.

I think we can beat them!!! They are so cocky.....even reading their message board before the match they thought they had it in the bag.....we were by far the better team!!!! they were jammy!!!! I'm just worried that without Doyle....and dare I say it Bikey...yes he was a hot head today..(.but he is solid....) it'll be harder.... but I think we can make the final!!!! They will come to the mad stad expecting a walkover...let's prove them wrong!!!!!!

Fair play to the marysiaska. That's what we need - a good dose of positivity. Shame you're on the wrong thread though.

Oh my god, I still can't believe people think we can do it. Sorry to spoil the optimism. I am usually an optimist but I've finally succumbed.

At home, we have scored one goal (that was our own) since 9 January and haven't won since 27 January. Our pitch is awful, the players have (even more so now after that) no confidence and some of them are just waiting for the transfer window to open. We have about as much chance of winning as Gordon Brown has of winning the next election.

It ceases to amaze me how people can still be optimistic about getting to Wembley. Fair play to you though. I wish I was the same!
