Well lets be hoping some dimwit Premier manager wants him based on that load of tripe rather than his recent performances

HOW THE F*** IS THIS POSSIBLE?

Stephen Hunt is undoubtedly one of our worst players at the moment. How the hell?

Just goes to show you can't quantify a players performance and worth using a restricted and incomplete set of numerical values.

Oh and this is possible because he scored about 6 goals and got about 17 assists. Most of them pre Xmas. It is afterall supposed to be reflective of the season as a whole, not just the last 3 weeks. Although I appreciate there are a lot of football fans with memories that have blindspots between 3 weeks ago and 2 seasons ago

4th biggest waste of a shirt in the division maybe. i would rather see kingsley running our lines than that joker.

But ACTIM is done on a cumulative basis over the whole season
and not done by "football fans with memories that have blindspots"

Do we have a problem with Tommy Smith of Watford who has had a great season (17 goals and 9 assists) being top midfielder?

or Michael Kightly of Wolves being in the top five? Or Wade Elliott of Burnley or Quinn of Sheffield Utd?

Strange that 4 of the top 5 make perfect sense, so the system appears to work, but

when it doesn't suit the wild prejudices of the hate-crowd, the system is sh!te.

It's based on the whole season so it seems a bit generous but not ridiculous to rank him that highly.
He was on great form before that Ireland game: with wonderful crosses, goals and assists to match his energy and enthusiasm.
Since the contract was signed he has been crap at times, but still worked hard.

I'll be sad to see him go, but glad for him when he moves on to a bigger club.

Thank you for selectively quoting me, leaving out the part where I said that the stats are a picture of the whole season.

You really do yourself no favours you know.

The whole post was:

Terminal Boardom What does it say about the quality of attacking footballers in this division?

It says that if you can produce some fantastic form for a few months and take the majority of corners and penalties in a team that go through a purple patch with set pieces, you will end in a significantly overinflated position, because stats don't tell you the whole story.

This is the Championship. And the system that has Tommy Smith top midfielder rates Hunt highly...

But, of course it could be that the haters are blind and miss anything good a hated player does
