Leaving early - an apology

by Man Friday » 14 May 2009 13:47

I apologise - I am guilty of hypocrisy. After spending years criticising people for leaving matches early I left 10 minutes before the end on Tuesday. I really couldn't stand it anymore having seen over and over again us dominate, then concede and then go to pieces. It was just one match too far to bear. I suspect the thousands who failed to fill the ground had had enough before this match. In addition, I couldn’t stand watching a second club in only nine days celebrate their success (at our expense). For me, I just couldn’t take any more. anyway, poor show on my part. I hope I never do this again. My son wasn't impressed.

Ahhh, that's better - I feel better for my confession and for having got that off my chest.

No problem. I apologise for giving some people the L loser sign over the divide and for waving goodbye to the fans that left after our second goal...

No worries. I'm an ST holder and didn't bother going. Really couldn't do another away fans' party at the Mad.

^^^^^^^ that

Left Brum early, left Burnley early.

Next season might start walking out histrionically after 60 minutes.

+1. Left at 9:30, home at 11:30. Job done. First time I've ever left early, I mean we weren't going to score 4 with 10 minutes left were we?

Most of them might as well have done for all the use they were after that point.

I too left my seat as i was so p!ssed off and could see no way back (i was right) but couldn't leave....simply couldnt do it, so hung about the concourse by the telly watching but not watching until about the 89th minute.....i think having to watch the burnley fans celebrate was a contributing factor into my attempted escape!
