How many non-league clubs have you seen Reading play?

by handbags_harris » 01 Jun 2009 15:00

In the league. I'm slightly disappointed to discover that I have only seen Reading in a league match against 5 teams that are now non-league:

Cambridge United
Luton Town
Oxford United
Wrexham
York City

Without thinking, which comes naturally, Newport County, Halifax and Wrexham spring to mind in addition to the others listed.

Did we actually play Maidstone in the league? I remember the cup ties with them but they were non league at the time.

Yeovil

I thought the questions was teams who we played in the league but are now not in the league, so Harrow and Slough don;t qualify

I remember them well enough to know they weren't league games....

Could be Halifax, but they were league at the time, Yeovil was 8/9 years ago. Played Grays Athltic in 2000.

We haven't played Halifax, Wrexham or York since they were non-league.

Has anyone mentioned Scarborough yet? Did we ever get to play them when they were a league club?
