Would those who'd be happy to drive him to wherever he's going please form a queue around the stadium.

SSN interviewer said that Everton have expressed an interest but our Stephen said that he is just "taking each day one at a time" and "what's meant to be will be".

What a loyal bloke he is, eh? Doesn't want to be at RFC full stop - regardless of who is in charge. Let's hope someone is fool enough to pay the money to take him off our hands then.

Good news tbh as I think his time is up at the Club. Reckon we could get £2-3m for him and use that woman to take Surman from Southampton who would be ideal.

I just hope Hammond manages to keep a straight the face like he did when flogging Kitson and Sonko.

If we get £3m it will to robbery.

Cambell - Ryce to replace him please.

Would you be happy with him going on a free?

Personally, I would as there's a danger of being lumbered with his ridiculous wages for 3-4 years.

Hunt seeks 'fresh start'

Midfielder's Reading future in serious doubt

Stephen Hunt has confirmed to Sky Sports News that he is seeking a 'fresh start' away from the Madejski Stadium.

The Republic of Ireland international's future was the subject of conjecture in the winter transfer window, with the midfielder keen to move to the Premier League.

Hunt, though, opted to sign a new contract with the Royals, but the club ultimately failed to gain promotion from the Championship.

Media reports claim Everton are lining up an offer for Hunt and the 27-year-old intends to seal a transfer away from Reading this summer.

He told Sky Sports News: "My own situation is that I am happy at Reading, but in terms of my future, I've been loyal to Reading, maybe a fresh start would be good for me and the club.

"I think me and the club agree it is time for a fresh start. I don't know about that (Everton). I can't talk about other clubs."

Meanwhile, Brynjar Gunnarsson's future at Reading is also in doubt despite being offered fresh terms by the club.

Gunnarsson's agent, Olafur Gardarsson, told Fotbolti.net: "He hasn't rejected the offer but he is mulling over his options.

"He's got the offer of a one-year contract and he is considering that and also other offers from clubs in the Championship."

If he'd joined Burnley instead of us all those years ago he'd be in the Premier League now... Actually, no, he would have been let go due to being actually not very good. Coppell bought the best out of him (plus the fact he had to play for his place against a very good Convey) and now he's gone back to being the player he was before. He's had his 2 good seasons.

Nobody likes a cry baby btw Stephen. Suck it up and get on with your job. If you're good enough you'll earn a place in a Premier League club.

As with Coppell losing it towards the end, but to whom we owe a huge debt, Shunt also gaves us a couple of good years. Can nobody remember when he was providing shedloads of assists for Doyle and, later, his brother to lap up? OK, maybe it's time for him to go, but I don't see any reason to be as abusive as most people on this thread.
