Tony Le Mesmer Brentford was one of the most significant game in Reading's history. If we had lost there Leicester wouldn't have happened. The Euphoria at Griffin park far out weighed the inevitability of promotion in 2006.

Yes, we would have had the playoffs but, given our record in them, would probably have done even worse than Brentford did!
