I think were playing them at a good time. Confident about this one and I reckon there will be a few goals.

Newcastle 2-3 Reading

Duff 8'
Carroll 75'

Pearce 24'
Davies 40'
N.Hunt 82'

Newcastle 2-0 Royals

Outclassed and outpassed. First murmurings of discontent from the HNA massive and calls for "more experience" in the side.

Either 0-0 or 0-1 to Reading.

Never mind about "mutterings" from HNA? - that will be nothing compared to the impatience the Toon Army will show if they aren't a leading after 10 minutes; if we play the ball around patiently we will frustrate them. Only issue to me is whether we have enough fire-power at this time, but I don't see Newcastle scoring.

1-0 Newcastle. Lots of pretty passing. No end product. Ugly goal for them from Nolan.

Can't see us coming close to getting anything out of this. 2-0 Newcastle.

Newcastle 1 - 2 Reading.
The team will have learned from their mistakes last week and will try to have more end product.
Maybe a team change after a few of the players' Burton performances and a nervy win.

Think we'll sucker them on the break. We need to have finishing closer to that against Chelsea than Forest.

1-2 Reading.

Ameobi / Davies, Long.

4-0 Newcastle, stage-fright in front of a big crowd for the kids.

I have read a lot of guff from pundits predicting Newcastle to struggle at the bottom of the division, but for as long as they have the likes of Duff, Nolan, Barton and the two Taylors they will have far too much for the likes of Reading.

I'd be amazed but overjoyed if we got anything out of this - I reckon we'll lose 2 or 3 to nil.

+1, we have very, very little chance of a win. They have massive superiority in terms of class on the pitch and it will be an emotional home game in front of a big crowd, going for a 3-0 newcastle. We haven't got two hopes.
