Sad times for Simon Church

by Sarah Star » 05 Sep 2009 17:29

Was surprised and saddened to read today that Simon Church's father had died after a long illness and that the funeral is on Wednesday.

That's very sad. Football may not have been too important to him in recent times.

Condolences to Simon. I guess the positive to take is that if it was a long illness, there is no more suffering for his father.

I guess its a comforting thought that he got the chance to make his father proud playing for both Wales and the Reading first team. Can't have been easy this week and hopefully now he can find peace. RIP.

There's nothing worse than losing someone close to you. Puts it all in perspective really.

Condolences to all who have recently lost.

Very sad for both Church and Collison. Both have lost their fathers prematurely.
To lose a parent or in Howser's case a parent and a sister must knock the stuffing out of you....that must have been incredibly hard.
It also must make you appreciate you fragile all our lives really are.
Condolensces to all concerned...especially Howser.
