Jay Tabb?

Why isn't Rodgers playing him?

The little lad can tackle, he can pass, he can cross and likes to have a shot.....

Not injured is he?

I reckon he will be off loaded next window, if not out on loan sooner.

Have no evidence whatsoever to back that up - just a hunch.

I think he's too dynamic for Rodgers' relaxed & expressionist brand of football.

Nah he's just under the radar at the moment. Rodgers can see his shortcomings. Getting back into the squad will be a tall order IMHO.

He's certainly given him short shrift.

He's playing at the height of his career at the moment.

Gunnar > Tabb
Karacan > Tabb

Think I've found the reason.

I'd like to see Karacan and Tabb have a scrap. Tabb would merk him, therefore Tabb > Karacan.

I think you missed the words "for 50-55 minutes" after the word Gunnar

Jem's part-turkish.

So for that reason Karacan > Tabb.

Simple.
Karacan, Howard and Sigurdsson are keeping him out of the side.
Those 3 players have been playing well/bought for a reason and so until one of them cocks up, Tabb'll have to warm the bench.

Tabb's Irish = Hard as a coffin nail therefore > part Turkish Karacan

This fun, keep going.

Or (in some peoples eyes)

Sig/Karacan = academy products
Howard = Rodgers' signing

Tabb = Coppell signing

Therefore

Sig/Jem/Howard>Tabb

:?

I wouldn't say they've been playing well at all. Sigurdsson is NOT a left winger so was wasted out there on Saturday, it showed in his performance - at least Tabb can play on the wing and would have been the better option if you ask me. Karacan works hard but i wouldn't say he was doing any better and what is the point in having Karacan AND Gunnarsson in the starting 11 at home, against a team like Doncaster - there was nothing going forward.

This^^^^

You could also make a pretty strong case for Tabb being our best player in the first few games as well.

To be fair to Rodgers though I think he is still trying to find his best combinations in Midfield and attack and none have been totally satisfactory so far.

I've got a lot of time for Tabb. Good energy and distribution, gets about the pitch, tackles and shoots.

Out of Saturday's midfailed 5 I'd play him in front of Kebe, Sigurdsson and Karacan.

He's been player of the year at both of his last two clubs and whilst that doesn't prove anything in itself it must at least be an indicator of a level of consistency.
