Good Rodgers interview shock

by Archie's penalty » 19 Sep 2009 17:43

First time I've heard an interview where Rodgers sounded honest and self-effacing. Fair play to the guy. I think today has taught him a lesson and we'll get better from here on in. He's under no illusion of the job at hand now.

The people I feel sorry for are the fans who traveled today. The club and players should be ashamed of themselves and make a gesture to refund them

Defeat to Watford will be his biggest humiliation. 3500 Watford on his case, and probably the same form the East Stand and one or two Hmm's from the West Stand.

He wants to get it right and NOW.

Much as I detested the appointment of BR, I have to agree that he is not afraid to change things and is a 100% honest chap.

I have NO DOUBT he will do everything he can to get it right.

But what can he realistically do to change things? I am trying to see positives but I am struggling. His interview was incredibly downbeat.

And once again he'll chop and change (admitting he still doesn't know his best team this week) and the team will be all over the place again.

He has to stop fiddling with the kiddy's.

You work to the budget you get set. Therefore if the chairman tells him to sell his best players he will do. He then uses the budget to replace those players and if it dictates we use youth then we have to use youth. Personally I feel Rodgers is not to blame entirely for this current prediacament we find ourselves in.

I just wish we'd appointed someone who knew a lot about management rather than someone who needs to learn on the job.

If I hear that we've had another wake up call I think I'm going to puke. JUST WAKE UP FFS!!!!! HOW MANY F***ING TIMES??

the most worrying thing for me is the fact that apart from the defence, Rodgers doesn't appear to have a f'ing clue who is best midfield or attack is, not a clue.

P.s, anyone who selects Pearce and makes him captain must be clueless.

It's certainly worrying that we don't appear have bothered to turn up this season bar 60 mins vs Barnsley, 35 mins vs Sheffield Utd, 45 mins vs P'boro and 60 minutes vs Cardiff
