Dirk Gently The strange thing is that although we were dire on Saturday we still did have some decent chances going forward - for instance Kebe went close with a header from a corner right at the very end. So it was more in defence and midfield - and lack of organisation - that we were useless on Saturday rather than the whole performance being completely rubbish.
As a worse performance I'll suggest the FA Cup matches, (including replay) vs Walsall in Jan 2003, when in 210 minutes of football we couldn't score once, needed an own goal to stay in the tie, and then could only score 1 from a whole penalty shoot-out. Every player was absolutely dire then.

facaldaqui Getting beat 2-4 at Charlton last season showed woeful defending, though, once again, the attacking wasn't bad.

royalsmudge If anyone was at both that and Peterboro on Saturday and tell me we were worse against The Posh then I am genuinely worried

royalsmudge That game was by a long chalk the worst I have ever seen and I include Sunday morning pub games in that.
Last Saturday before Christmas I think against one of the worst sides ever to appear in the Championship.

Ian Royal Not too fussed by the Bristol 2nd half. It ended up so ridiculous I couldn't help but laugh. It just wasn't really real.

Au contraire mon amis, it was most assuredly really REAL, like finishing in the bottom three WILL get you relegated, no matter how plausible the reasons or excuses are! Tell me you think it's impossible for that to happen to Reading this season?

Ryn I seem to recall losing 2-1 to Bury about 7 years ago on a rainy day in a half filled MadStad, the second half being absolutely woeful.
That was dump but nowhere near as dump as Saturday.
