Simple question - In or Out?

by Y21 » 04 Oct 2009 14:14

Too much to read on all the other threads to get an idea of the general consensus. So time for a quick straw poll.

Brendan Rodgers - in or out?

He gets to Dec.

Will give a new manager a month to see what we have then Jan to do something about it.

We should be hoping Rodgers pulls it round, but still keeping an eye on who we can bring in.

I'm losing faith and confidence but to sack him after this amount of time is not fair and epitomises what is wrong with the modern game. Give him until Christmas and bring back SSC if all is not well by then....

Another boring, pointless thread made worse by me adding to it.

I've still got total faith. These things take time.

I've gone for out, because that's the way I see the penny landing. But not yet. We've got a run of "easier games" coming up soon. So if he doesn't manage 8 points or better from the next 6 games he's a gonna as far as I'm concerned.

If he does, then he gets another 5 games on top of that. If he doesn't manage another 6 points minimum from them, he's a gonna as far as I'm concerned.

It's not just results though, performances have got to get better. We have to start scoring at home. We have to start showing up in the second half.

This is a pretty good shout, although I think we're likely to need to improve a bit for him to last that long.

They wont sack him. They just wont, not till after x-mas at the very least! I'd keep him in to be honest, I think we just need a little more luck in some of the games. Plus the manager has picked the players to play on their performance in training, then surely it is then up to the players to perform on the day? Not just down to the manager, there are 11 players not pulling their weight on a saturday.

I think those calling for his head after so few games and such a tumultuous close-season are the ones who need to provide justification and reasoning.

In until the end of Oct. If we do well (win games, not play well) during that time, fair enough, we'll keep him in. If we do crap, he'll have to go. He's already damaged the club a fair bit by changing half of the squad!

5 loses. Abject second half performances. 2 goals at home. 2 wins, 1 barely, the other against the then worst team in the division. Formation that a blind man can see doesn't work. Awful substitutions. An awful subs bench. Awful formation changes mid-game. No sign of improvement game on game.

What's your's?
