Back from the game - WBA (a)

by T.R.O.L.I. » 17 Oct 2009 17:54

Can't be arsed to write a full post but suffice to say that today was another episode of 10 mins good, 80 mins bad. As such it's a one word summary from Fun Boy 3+1:

Disappointing
Spineless
Predictable
Plusone

Whilst I appreciate this isn't the most informative thread, at least it comes from some of us who actually bothered to go to the game. Perhaps, for once, this thread could actually stay true to it's title and only have posts on it from those that went to the game...

It's not just about losing today. We've had a terrible start, and nothing has been done to stop it.

On the train home now! Another boring predicatble performance! Not sure if kebe touched it second half. Cummins never once stopped Thomas from getting a cross in and was woeful once more!

Noel hunt got no service! All in all ferdici kept it respectable as it could have been 6 or 7!

Rodgers has to go

Another poor performance...

Spotted that blonde from Hollyoaks. Probably highlight of the day.

Comments in no particular order:
Cummings - absolutely dreadful. It was like a professional footballer versus a schoolboy.
McAnuff - just like the Watford fans said, drifts in and out. Never chased back, just waited on the wing like a schoolboy left-winger. Lightweight - pushed off the ball very easily. Crap basically and not up for the fight. Only player to clap the fans at the end. I'm sorry but you ain't getting a clap back you lazy load of shite.
Long - I'm sorry Shane, I used to love you, but you're now a disgrace. Crap AND couldn't be arsed (see McAnuff).
Rasiak - won a few headers but is this what the club has come to FFS?
Rodgered - we played really well for 25 minutes but what the hell does he say to them at half time or put in their tea? Curbishley, get your bags ready. That's the only way we'll avoid relegation.
Howard - best game for Reading so far.
Kebe - tried hard, often succeeded. One of our better players today along with Ivor and Mills and Jem (who never stopped running).
Fed - some world class saves but at fault for first goal and possibly third. Brilliant but a liability (as usual).
Fans - really tried but gave up eventually.
Really have to question Rodgered's signings. Makes you wonder if he knows what a good footballer looks like.
Unless we get rid of Rodgered, this is a relegation season, mark my words. I really don't think the players believe in him.

I listened on the radio and we appeared to start well opened the scoring and could have had another.

Then it all fell apart. The question must be asked why? Individual players, the team as a whole or management. We did not adapt our game as the match progressed. Players failed to help one another out . Where was the team captain?

Deep dispair - role on the other hoops we must win soon.

Just got in......can't be arsed to repeat excatly what has been said above....its all true!!

Was surprised that there wasn't any calls for BR to go at any point. I have backed him, but its getting to the point where keeping him and 'having faith' are counter productive. Unless the plan is to go down, rebuild and come back stonger.

Highlight of the day

" We've just had a shot, We've just had a shot, how sh*t must you be....etc"

Yes it was THAT bad!
