What we will never know is what would have happened last season with a different manager. One thing for sure is that we would not be in the current predicament. .

Royal Lady But Madejski didn't like it when we were in the Prem - he doesn't like the "obscene wages".

Which must explain why he lives so close to the breadline.

You've got that a bit twisted TB. Mr Mad is fine and lovely when HE'S the one with the money, he just doesn't like others to have it for a job he doesn't consider worth what he has to pay.
It was all very well and good when he could employ hundreds of staff at AutoTrader on wages of next to nothing, whilst he himself was able to sell his stake for £200M, earnt on the backs of others who were paid shite. But when a few hairy arsed footballers, footballers for God's sake, have the temerity to want the going rate for their trade, then whoooa ... hold on ... that's obscene!! Seems exploitation is only acceptabel one way with Madejski.
Sorry TB - Madejski is no different to the vast majority of the rich. The rich donlt get rich by throwing their money around willy nilly.
Anyway, back onto the thread - had Coppell left at the end of the PL relegation season, we would simply have seen this season's asset strip taken place a year earlier. On the plus side, we wouldn't have the Bodger as our manager, it would probably have been Dill or Wally moved up, although by now we would have been in mid table mediocrity - in League 1.

CMRoyal Once again with the Curbishley. Is there any indication whatsoever that Curbs wants to take over a club in the Championship. Let alone us?
