Interesting to see that Fed has something to say to the media after his shocking performance yesterday. Hes doesn't seem to be taking any blame aswell, which is quite frustrating.

I think with Fed, he is unlucky of the circumstances he is being required to play in.

For e.g. last season, if USA made a mistake, Doyle could down the other end and get us a goal.

Any mistake Fed makes is highlighted because we are struggling for goals. I think Fed will be a good GK in the future but he is should not be our GK at the moment.

Many people criticised SC for being too loyal but I think Rodgers is making the same mistake with Fed. Last night was a culmination of a series of mistakes, off the top of my head:

Sheff U (H) beaten by an easy long ranger, Cardiff (H) near post, Pboro (A) near post, Watford (H) failed to command his box, West Brom (A) questionable decision making for 1st and 3rd gol, QPR (A) 2nd goal failed to claim the cross and 3rd beaten at his near post. Last night at fault for the first 2 goals.

I dont think putting Hamer in would be the answer, we probably dont need another youngster.

We need some experience, maybe Maik Taylor on loan?

The first one he could have been positioned better I suppose.


We lost to three fantastic strikes on goal that went in, I'd struggle to argue they actually played better than us. At half time I still felt we could have pulled it back as it felt like we were the better side... but it seemed the team lost that belief about 10-15 minutes into the second half.

1st goal feds got caught on his feet. The guy was (imo) clearly aiming for the other side of the goal but spooned it and luckily it went in the other side. Feds took a step one direction and unfortunately it went the other.

2nd goal - gesh I don't think I've seen a ball move that much from short range. To me it looked that it initially curled to the left then suddenly it moved alot to the right.

3rd goal was a class finish - should have been closed down earlier.

4th goal was another quality finish.

Ok so I think that Feds was partly to blame for the 1st, but I don't think you can point a finger of blame directly at him for the rest.

I can tell by the level of the netting, plus my perspective when looking at the size of the players from the angle and how far over he is, but then again I know angles from playing in that position where others wouldn't. Of course nothing stands still, but as the player moves position you should shuffle across as a keeper, or at least a good one anyway.

He was all of 20/25 yards when he hit it. How is that short range?

My point was that it was a short distance for the ball to move to the left then to the right like it did. Not saying that he spanked it from short range at all.

Oh and the penalty box is 18yrds and he hit it just outside of it if you wanna get pedantic FYI
