Is Scunthorpe's manager a bit mental?

"We had opportunity to score four, five, six goals". Erm, ok mate :| .

Observations from the highlights:

- Ivar loses his man for the equaliser but Pearce is spun with consumate ease.

- Reading's defence - particularly Pearce - utterly bewildered and flat-footed when Forte ran at them, worrying as ever.

- Sigurdsson is a super little player but he put that glorious opportunity from 6 yards in the only place the 'keeper had a hope in hell of saving.

- Jobi McAnuff is exciting to watch and is so much > Kebe it is untrue.

What he is trying to say is that with the tactics deployed for this game, on other day/games they get opportunites for 4,5,6 goals - he is not saying they had 6 chances to score!!

He closes by saying that they had chance to win at the death, which is true.

8 shots. 4 on target. Not sure how he can get to 5 or 6. 4 is really really pushing it. If they could have had that many we SHOULD have had 8 from the highlights and commentary.

Yup. Gylfi didn't have a good day, but he's technically the most outstanding of our young players IMHO.

Can't believe McAnuff was getting slated on here for his performance. Apart from that shit header from Kebe's great cross, he must have walked off the pitch thinking "thanks a lot you fukkers, how much more do I have to do to be on a winning side?"

They'll be the same people praising Kebe for another top performance no doubt.

Have said it before, I'll say it again. A free header early on 6 yards out. 3 x1-on-1's - one saved first half, second overran with a poor touch, third put wide by Forte. And the goal. I make that 5 outstanding chances which Scunthorpe didn't take. It was not unrealistic of Scunthorpe to come away from this game saying that they could have scored 4, 5, 6 goals given the opportunities they had.

I can. First half he was anonymous and conspicuous only for his absence. Second half he was exceptional and could not be faulted. Pick the bones out of that suckers!

Ideal Obviously Scunthorpe's manager is looking at football through a total different, a total different set of glasses.
He should know we were outstanding, and did some great stuff out there on the pitch.
Anyone who disagrees is definately not a supporter of this club. We should have won four or five nil, and the fans enjoyed that.
We will now make sure that Scunthorpe's manager has nothing to do with our preparations for our next game.

You only ever win four or five nil if you have more than one decent goalscorer in your team!

Do you watch the game? He nearly scored with a free kick, turned their defenders inside out many a time in the first and had 2 goalbound shots blocked. Yeah, pretty anonymous

I remember his basic inability to play an easy, early pass and instead cock things up by trying to beat the full back when it isn't necessary.

I imagine if I hadn't of been roped into doing christmas shopping and missed the game I'd be pulling my hair out at some of this thread.
