Scott Davies.....

by Wycombe Royal » 15 Jan 2010 15:43

Well we areobviously willing to sell him as we named our price to Wycombe but it was too much for them to afford.....

I for one hope he doesn't go. I really rate him and considering there's a possibility we could be playing League One football next season he could be an important player for us in the not so distant future.

Thought he was a good little player when he played earlier on this season. Would be very disappointed to see him sold.

He was playing really well and I rated him. Then they let him go out on loan.

Maybe by naming a price we know that Wycombe couldn't afford, we aren't really that willing to sell him?

We are in the a position where we could do with the money but don't have to sell at less than what a player is worth, puts us in a decent bargaining position with regards to holding onto in contract players... but it does mean if someone comes along and says "Whats so and so worth to you" we aren't going to turn them down without first hearing them out. We aren't that financially secure.

Mentions that others are also interested, so expect to see him leave in the next couple of weeks, I would hope not, as the couple of times I have seen him he has something worth developing, especially longer range shooting and free kicks.

I can see Parky coming in for him, £300k, and sell on clauses might seal it.

Didn't say need, said could do with.

The impression I get is that our budget is very tight and anything to give us a bit more security would be welcomed if the price is what we think is right... but isn't necessary so we won't sell for less than a player is worth.

The £1,000,000 we got over two legs against Liverpool should be security enough in the short term?

I'd not like to see him go - he played well earlier in the season, he could be an important squad player next year if we stay up

Read the article properly Spacey - it mentions that there are other clubs who are interested.

Read what rg6royal wrote - he put an emphasis on his unhappiness if we sold him to Wycombe.
