Understand from sources within the club that McD is appointed manager from tomorrow. Don't know any more details, ie whether until end of season or beyond, but on balance probably the best we could have hoped for in the current climate.

He's brought common sense, honesty and a workmanlike attitude to the club, and as long as league results improve to match the FAC exploits, (and I see little reason why that's not possible), I reckon he should keep us up this season. After the Bodgers' pathetic attempt at football management, a steady hand with a sensible philosophy is probably the best approach for the rest of the season.

I would like to have seen some League wins on the board first...but I won't be surprised if this is true. Hope he proves to be the right choice. Not convinced.

Stop sitting on the fence...
Lets see how things go in the League. He is certainly unproven at this level so its a big gamble but he may just surprise us both. I hope so because he comes across as a decent bloke.

I have never felt so low as a Reading fan tbh.

Years of being one of the loudest supporters on the Southbank and in East stand to help take my club to the promised land are now being undone and I am just feeling too low to make much of a comment on what Madejski is doing to our club.
