RoyalBlue Madejski might as well take it over. There's half a chance he might give himself some decent financial backing - unlike the two fall guys he has appointed so far this season.

West Stand Flash Having a guy who is all friendly with the players ect ect, is no good when your in the position were in.
You need someone who puts rockets up players arses. Not a guy who is a 'nice bloke'.
Get Megson in.

andrew1957 It is too late for a new manager now - we are not going to spend anything in the transfer window. I say appoint McD and see what happens.

Avon Royal Now that it's obvious that McDermott won't get the job, who do people want to see appointed?
For me the key quality is experience, and ideally experience of relegation dogfights.

Because he's clearly not up to it for a start.

We'll see. And it's not like that means anything. Rodgers wasn't up to it. Bullivant wasn't up to it. Burns wasn't up to it. Pardew didn't look up to it at this stage of his management. They all got appointed.
