Muppets booing savage

by FiNeRaIn » 11 Mar 2010 12:19

Once again, cringe worthy abuse for the biggest professional on the park.

Savage didn't even open his mouth all game - yet is targeted for consistent abuse, just like many moons ago.

Reading fans = pathetic.

Support your team and stop barracking the opposition players, especially the ones who are model pro's and haven't done anything wrong.

I already know who is going to respond to this thread - some HNA users starting the chants I see.

He's a pantomine dame whose only minor misdemeanour was to roll the ball away when we had the freekick. He showed humour and made a damned fine save last night. I don't admire the guy but felt a hint of admiration last night.

Is this going to be a match by match grumble BTW.

Savage owes a large part of his career to his carefully cultivated image.

Rather a few light hearted boos at a self proclaimed 'character' than rascists and sectarians fighting long forgotten battles from the terraces.

Totally agree. Get over it. Savage probably loved it anyway.

Except for regular applause and non-ironic cheering from the North Stand in the second half, of course.

I never once booed Bas Savage, what's the point in bringing up an old player, oxf*rd sake mate.

Exactly. Everyone knows that booing any player - home or away - only serves as motivation.

Yeah have to agree whole heartedly with what has been said on here, I have a lot of time for Robbie Savage, says it as it is, wears his heart on his sleeve and gives 150% every time he is on the pitch, he done good last night.

Or just a bit of pantomime banter. Savage loves it.

Still remember the old "which one of us are you booing?" gesture directed at the east stand between him and Graham Poll which generated a few lolz at the time.

muppet's taking a lot of grief from finerain lately.

Is he adding mysogyny to his long list of character flaws?

We were clapping him. Couldn't manage to get 'there's only one Robbie Savage' going with any momentum though.

Exactly. Do you really think Savage was affected by this? FFS, he knows its coming every game, and let's face it, he's pretty much dug a rod for his own back.

Oh no, it's just Reading fans - all of us - isnt it? One for a poll maybe? :)
