Losing to Birmingham, because we looked lifeless and shit and knowing we could never win the playoffs.

Thrashing Derby County, only to be relegated.

Missing out on Europe.

Adie Williams' bullet headed winner (2-1 v Charlton) adding the hopes and expectations of 1995.
Sitting next to Archie whilst we were winning 2-1 @ St Andrews in 1996.

That was the first leg of the play-offs was it not?

Bournemouth in the rain and a pitch invasion to boot (incidentally, can anyone confirm for me that this was an evening kick-off and not on the same day as other fixtures)
Goodbye Elm Park
Curo's goal

For some reason, I really remember the ones that also had no bearing, like the defeats at Oldham & Man City.

Also (old man mind) were we already confirmed in PO's before the Bournemouth Beach Day?

Well corrected on the Wigan game.

The beach day we were already in the play offs and Wigan got in instead of them.

That Bournemouth away game was played on the Thursday night prior to the last weekend of the season. I guess on police advice given how many of us went down - I seem to recall we had the end behind the goal and down the side of the pitch. Lots of Reading fans running between the stands and someone running out to kick the ball in before a keeper could take a goal kick.

Wasn't there an incident that stopped Gilkes scoring as well or is my memory playing tricks?

You must have bought your own as well because there was no pubs open except a bloody Gay Pub either, loads of Reading fans in there. Nice trick by the Police I thought
