If I am correct there are 2 prizes right? The cash one and another one which I can't remember. Which one did you win?

BTW, congrats! :D

The cash one - worth about a grand more than the signed matchball which is the other one.

Odd, though - just about the only time ever I've not been outside to watch the draw. Today I was so feckin cold and wet I went inside at half-time.

I liked the 2 Danny Dyer wannabes at the front in the PNE end who left at 3-1.

Two games, and two STAR board members win the GG - if Sybil Ford isn't a board member, she's close enough to be one for it to suit my argument that the GG is fixed

Anyway, PNE seemed to be a bit Rodgers Mk II. Lots of attempted patient building from the back, only for them to be hassled and harried, ball played back to keeper who hoofs it up to the quite frankly dire Brown and Parkin up front. Well worth the win, two contenders for goal of the season (Kebe and Church), as well as probably the best free kick I have ever seen from Ross Wallace. If we can play like that next season we'll finish top 6 easily. That said, defensively we looked suspect again. You know you have problems when Jon Parkin spins and then outpaces you - Alex Pearce you are more flat footed than an elephant. We really need a central defender and need to let him go.

Anyway, after a dire start and middle, what a superb end to the season (last week aside).

Did you have ticket 3000 Dirk?

I thought we played well today against a physical Preston side who gave us a game and if they'd of taken their chances it could of been a lot more of a contest. As it was the team all looked to enjoy playing together and we always looked like we had another gear to go. Kebe's goal was outstanding and just shows what a player he could be, when he's got the ball and running at people he is really something else, otherwise with his back to goal he's still a bit lightweight but did seem to be trying a lot more today.

I was pleased Sig got his goal - that's 20 for the season, which is not bad for a midfielder. All the goals today were crackers, even the PNE free kick which drew applause from the East stand.

At the end it was a season of what might have been, Brendan screwed us, without the abysmal start we would have been in the playoffs.

Goodbye and thanks to Griff, who looked almost embarrassed to be appreciated, and to Bertrand who now really looks that like the class player we saw potential for when he joined us. I really hope we could sign his again, either permanently or another loan.

But I don't want to say goodbye to Griffin.

We won't get Bertrand imo.

Agreed, said to the old boys next to me that I thought it was the best free kick I've seen before.

Kebe's goal was superb, almost like an electric spark as soon as he got the ball....great goal by Church and McAnuff's was a decent team goal too.

Good game, Sigurdsson unfortunate to get booked and glad he got the goal he was clearly desperate to get.

Fantastic goals (including the PNE one) - friendly PNE fans who seemed to enjoy themselves - was sad to think we probably saying goodbye to our loanees and a couple of other players - thought McD wasn't coming out - glad he did - deserves all the plaudits - the jobsworth stewards who locked the safety gate "because there's still a coach of Preston fans to leave" (the fans happened to be all those in fancy dress and there was zero chance of any trouble) can all oxf*rd off though. Luckily we found a gate they forgot to lock and went through just before they locked it again, but they stopped loads of other people from using it, even though they had already let a load through just prior to us getting there.

Can't stewards have a certain amount of common sense - particularly when the Preston fans had at least 15 minutes ahead of us to get out and away - plus did they really think Reading fans or PNE fans were going to have a fight about anything?

I got a full chest hair expose from the Dorothy after the game. Catching a taxi into town he went skipping past only to land full face down on the road. Shins and palms scraped at pace. OUCH!! Nice photo of him though.

All stewards are brain dead retards who are socially inadequate.

As for the game, defencively we looked a bit shaky. Alex Pearce still has the turning circle of an exploded oil rig. Kebe was world class today. Long was outstanding up front and on another day would have scored a couple. brian Howard still cant pass the ball yet Plastic had his best game in a Reading shirt.

As for next season, we need a minimum of the following:
Right Back
Left Back
2 x Central Defenders
Central Midfielder
20 goal Striker

Royal Lady thought McD wasn't coming out - glad he did - deserves all the plaudits :

Looked to me like he wasn't coming out as JM practically manhandled him out in the end. If so shows just how he is the sort of manager who says 'I made a mistake' and 'we played well' in other words takes the flak but avoids the credit - a top man.

I heard very bad news today, but the game was fantastic, again.

Fed 8 Great save from their centre half

Griffin 8 Good to see he bought his kids again to see his new club
Bertrand 9 Outstanding
Mills 9 Really competent in defense and not too hoofy in attack
Pearce 7 getting better with each game and good enough for next year

Tabb 8 twice the player we signed
Howard 7 needs to be more careful with the passes when we are in a flat spell
Sigurdson 9 the best 20yo we've had?

McAnuff 9 Great to see him get that goal
Long 7 poor finishing but lead the line well
Kebe 10 missed one chance and one cross, but otherwise awesome. That's the best goal I have seen this season.

Church 8 he is ready to take over if Long leaves
Gunnarson 8 his substitution seemed strange but worked - was it an instruction for everybody to stop pissing around and kill off the game

McDermott 100

I suppose it was goodbye to the four in bold, but you never know...
