Khalifa Cisse

by LoyalRoyal22 » 07 May 2010 21:17

Just wanted peoples views on his situation, personally i would much rather have him than Gunnarsson. IMO we should release Bryn and Keep Cisse....

Showed lots of ability in patches...Anyone like me go to Hilsborough which he scored in...

Sell Cisse, and sign up Gunnar for one more year.

Gunnar is much more of a all round team player. He doesn't moan about being not selected, or being an unused sub, and when given his chance in the side tries his best. A top professional and good role model for the younger generation fans. Gunnar also chips in with a few goals here and there and has some crucial assists to his name, much more than Cisse contributes to the side in my opinion.

Cisse can be a bit hit and miss. If you look at our three best away performances in 08-09 (as in the 4-1 win at Bristol City, 3-0 win at Wolves, 3-1 win at Birmingham) the one thing they have in common was Cisse playing a blinder. Last season I would've definitely said our best midfield involved him. I was expecting him to play a more prominent role this season, but for one reason or another it hasn't seemed to work out. If Bryn goes then he'll be surplus to requirements, but if Bryn chooses to move elsewhere I'd be more than happy to see Cisse stay.

I'd release both.

But I'd rather have Gunnar as utility emergency cover.

when he can learn to trap the ball, tackle and also pass the ball - then yes we should think about keeping him

Cisse sadly comes into the same mould of a former underperforming Kebe. Okj this season he has been suposedly injured a hell of a lot, not able to fight his way into the team. Peripheral and currently therefore disposable. It makes sound sense to move him on as he is not an integral player who adds to the current team. He can be pacey, can be direct and can produce the evidence when on top of his game but this is a rare sight.

Brynn has been a solid, quiet and unassuming part of this team, slightly more marginal than previously but wow, can he still do it when needed. Solid and reliable are atributes which had a calming affect this last season, which if astutely managed can still be a great deal of use next season.

Just my opinion of course.

Hard to find an opening in today's political climate though, isn't it?

Chap I know was just putting his ballot paper in the slot yesterday when 10 o'clock struck...

...totally disenfranchised him.

It's a tough one isn't it.

Either somebody who has just had his best season for the club by miles, and signed his contract last year at the start of the cloth-cutting phase

Or a waste-of-space expensive purchase from the premiership days who will be missed as much as herpes.

Cisse must be given a free transfer.

Think it is pretty safe to assume that Cisse won't be here nxt season.

Will always be a symbol of where it went wrong in the Premiership.
