Song for Federici against New Zealand on Monday night

by Cripple Creek » 22 May 2010 10:19

Looks very much as if Adam Federici will play for Australia against New Zealand on Monday with Schwarzer injured.

To the tune of Mad World by Tears for Fears.

Oooh, Federici, ooh Federici
He plays for Reading
But he comes from the land down under

He swapped his vegemite
For cod and chips
And now he's playing against New Zealand

Oooh Federici, ooh Federici
Oooh Federici he's a good goalkeeper.

Yep, he had bugger all to do, NZ goal was a speculative lobbed ball into the box, messy at the post and he stuck it past Fed, he could have done better, not really his fault more the defenders who should have challenged/cleared it.

LOL at how sh1t Oz were in the first half - should also have had 2 red cards, Grella and Cahill, bad challenges that in a normal match would have been reds but they got yellows here.

Australia will be out first round of the WC.

Cheers. Oz have been better second half but still pretty shocking, i'd love New Zealand to win.

Rubbish game, 2 very average teams.

The game was transmitted live on Betfair website, for those who have an account and are not restricted by their company filters blocking access to gaming websites

I was worried about the prospect of facing the Aussies in the 2nd round, but on that performance, they won't be going that far...

I watched 30 minutes and turned off because it was so dreadful. If Australia play like that (and as a previous poster pointed out they should have been playing with nine men after two atrocious tackles which verged on attempts at GBH) in the World Cup the rest of the teams in their group will murder them. They were pathetic. Football at its very, very worst...not only technically dreadful but violent. Somewhere the manager should accept some responsibility.

Could this mean Federici is the first "3D Royal"?
